That was originally a boring industrial water heating system furnace. So i fooled around with audio effects to give that result that sounds like one of those old low budget science fiction movies or even some cartoons. It can be used in many type of stuff, it's up to your imagination.

This ambience is the lobby on the street level of a medical office building in honolulu, hawaii. You can hear people entering the doors and catching one of the elevators, a woman talking, and traffic passing by on the building's driveway. I recorded this with the built-in microphone of a lenovo laptop.

I recorded stop and go traffic on coldwater canyon one morning on my way to work. Nice variation of traffic that's moving and traffic that's just stopped and idling. Could be used for freeway traffic jams, etc. Recorded with: sound devices 702t, beyer dynamic mc930 mics.

I began my express bus ride at venice and vermont. I proceeded to record my soundwalk for exactly one minute as i rode to venice and normandie. I sat on the top row in the middle of the bus where the two parts of bus are connected like an accordion. I sat silent the entire time.

Field recording of the tail end of a brief rain shower recorded approximately 1 foot (30 cm) from the sidewalk and 183cm from the street. You will hear rain pattering against the sidewalk, passing cars, one group talking while walking past, distant dogs, and birds.

Drawing curtains: in the sound you hear curtains being drawn from one side to the other giving a harsh "shhhhhh" sound. There are different variations in the speed in which the curtains are drawn as well. Recorded using the zoomh4n and using the rode ntg1 condenser shotgun microphone. A low shelf was added to this sound to cancel some handling issues.

This is one of the original tubular bells used by mike oldfield, possibly for the 1999 tour. Note: this bell is only a dummy bell. It was stuffed with foam and fitted with a transducer to trigger a sample. I took the foam out and gave it a thwack! great fun but it sounds absolutely terrible in my opinion.

I needed a sound of someone falling down some stairs, so i grabbed a pelican case (took the camera out of it of course) and dropped it down the stairs a few times while my mate was holding a zoom recorder at the bottom. At one point the case hit my friend in the leg, but don't worry, he is ok.

Here is a clip i recorded using a canon gl1 and a audiotechnica shotgun mic(unsure of model number, a cheap one i'm sure). The clip contains thesound of me clinking a fork around inside of a bowl (sounds likesomeone eating) and pouring water into a glass as well as a bowl. Thegain might need to be increased as the audio is low.

This one is easy to do but hard to explain. . . In order to make this sound i pucker up my lips so that my upper teeth are against my lower lip. The i breath in softly which makes that cute noise (that's also why you hear breathing against the mic after. ) hope you all like ;).

Quite simply a recording of me screaming in a humorous way (if you're looking for a scream sound effect for a project with a serious tone, i doubt this one will be suitable). Even though i'm a woman, i have a feeling this sound could be used for a male character too, probably one with a voice that's not too deep. I recorded this by mistake when i was just 14! me and my sister had just been recording something on my mp3 player, then when we'd finished, i accidentally pressed record again. I don't know why, but i responded by doing a silly scream before pressing the button to stop recording! weird reaction, i know. I was probably just trying to make her laugh. I kept the very short recording ever since and in more recent years, i showed it to a friend who found it absolutely hilarious! i realised this was a such a gem of a scream that i simply had to upload it as my first ever contribution to this wonderful site i've been using for years!. I've edited out one second of silence that preceded the scream in the original version of the file. Although it's not essential because i'm releasing this into the public domain, i'd love to hear in the comments about what you use this sound for :).

One friday night, me and my partner were eating dinner, and we both heard a click. She perks up, "what was that?" and i said "the dryer is running, probably something in it" and she goes "no it was inside" (our dryer is like a back door outside porch kinda deal). I noticed it came from inside as well, in the kitchen, but mentally shrugged it off because lasagna. But now i know she heard it inside too, so i walk in the kitchen where the sound came from and don't see anything moving or on. I took note of where my cats were in case anything was being chewed on: one in bed, one on the couch, they aren't chewing on anything or are even near the clicking sound, so back to dinner. About 45 minutes later, dinner is wrapped up, my partner is asleep and i start turning off all the lights. When i turn the kitchen lights off, there is a light that stays on in the corner. I have a car battery recharger there: it has usb ports in case ya lose power, charger cables, and a flashlight attached on the side. . . . Which is on. I turn it off: exact same click that i heard earlier. Do i have a ghost?.

Here is a simple yet usefull reel for your morphagene. I sampled various noise source from various modules to be used into my shared system, as this instrument does not contain any classic one. This reel is arranged like this:splice 1 : left = white noise / right = pink noisesplice 2: left = metallic noise / right = digital noisesplice 3 : left = tuned noise 1 / right = tuned noise 2splice 4 : left = tuned noise 2 / right = tuned noise 3splice 5 : left = tuned noise 4 / right = tuned noise 5splice 6 : left = tuned noise 6 / right = tuned noise 7splice 7 : left = downsampling noise sweep / right = fluctuating random noise sweep. Most sound comes from the verbos electronics random sampling module. A small group of people collected hay on a meadow by means of sweeping the hay into mounds and placing it on hay racks by means of pitchforks. A couple of guys set up hay racks by knocking a sharp, short pole obliquely into the ground to be used as support. Next, they used a crowbar to make holes in the ground for the large poles which were assembled in a row. Finally, a short oblique pole was knocked into the ground on the other side of the high poles and steel wire was attached t one of the oblique poles,then attached to the long poles by one loop on each pole until it was attached to the oblique pole at the other end. Birds were singing and sheep with bells were grazing nearby.
