I made this pad sound by starting with a traditional saw wave and mixing various effects together such as reverb and chorus. The wav file also has pre-defined loop points that can be used in samplers that support the functionality. Note: there is a slight static noise that is present when the sound is played through the freesound player on the website, however, the static is not present when played outside of the freesound audio player. A near chaotic experiment. Im mixing cycling envelopes and lfos to generate triggers. The four sounds are totally unrelated. > bass drum. > snare (or something. . . )> bass. The pitches for the bass are generated withthree mixed lfos. At closest to target it was recorded from about 33ft away from mower at farthest range about 40ft away. If you wanted the mower to be heard from an inside area you could add a high pass filter to the recording. Please note this wasn't taken with the average household mower it was taken with a heavy duty lawn mower used for cutting large areas of grass so it doesn’t have the same sound as a regular mower.

24 bit sample, direct to sound card, volume adjusted to remove peaks. . . Sound is a long recording of static and crackling noises with random notes and music from a circuit bent musini toy. I honestly don't know if the static sound (activated with two body contacts) is classified as "white" or "pink" noise, but i really like the sound of it! a plethora of crunchy, crispy, noisy snippets to transform into a drum kit or something like that!.

Explosion sound created using a zoom h1 and tempering with metal fibers near the mic capsules. Added verb and pop compression for better flexibility. Then i used audacity to import raw data in form of the picture. The resulting sound is obvious if you click the play button on my sample.
