Coffee shop ambience recording. Loopable. Crowd can be heard talking but the individual words are not audible. Blender and coffee machine can be heard. Recorded indoors at a street side coffee shop so slight traffic can be heard. Recorded with a zoom h6 recorder. Loud atmospheric and noisy ambience.

I create my own original sound effects using audacity and my own equipment and ocassionally a garden gnome or two.

I'm not a sound pro. These sea sounds are recorded with a simple smartphone and exported as wav files. If you do not want the wind noise on the microphone, it is stereo so you can remove the "windy" track if you do not want it. All free to use, no credit required. A late '90s desktop pc booting. The first few seconds are most eventful. Recorded with a zoom h1n, which was not completely stationary while recording (i was holding a small tripod). Includes pc speaker, fan, diskette drive and lots of hard drive noises.

Inspired by a strange japanese number station i heard around 2012. I generated white noise, recorded an old toy, and found some public domain static and put it all together in this extremely eerie piece. It gets even creepier if you lower the pitch.

This is a recording of my friend who can make an incredible llama/sheep/goat sound.

Various birds singing at the early morning. Recorded in a small town in northern germany. No sea-birds!. Highpass filtered and slightly noise reduced because of a distant highway/autobahn. But still useful for background.

The sound is produced in an enclosed area. The microphone is placed at the bottleneck in order to clearly record a very stereotypical noise. I recorded it with a zoom h4n. I select a part of the recording and created an echo effect with reverberations. This sound can be used in an enclosed area with the goal of focus on it, as a clear mark that something important is being opened or revealed.

Seven rounds from a lever-action marlin 1984c (cowboy rifle) in. 357 magnum. In most cases, the reports come rapidly on one another - this was necessary in order to eliminate background noise pollution. In one or two cases, there is a nice "decay" as the shot echoes into the distance.

I was just messing around in audacity, doing some things with a party noise maker sound effect, i slowed it down, put some reverb & echo, messed with the pitch a little bit, and got this! it's supposed to be kinda like "trumpets in the sky" and/or war of the worlds inspired.

In this record you can hear the noise of the chain of one bicycle being pedaled. Is like a hum. It is a sound object used in the sonic ensemble soundscape for the sound creation lab project. July 2013, rcording from setup pc in greenhouse. Extreme rain changing to hail (25 mm diamter)for a couple of minutes, then rain again. Last bit of recording is sound from pc fan. Did not cut it off, wanted to let listeners understand that i made a temporary installation in the greenhouse for capturing the immense noise.

Another example on "listening" to a computer. Many sounds you hear are overtones from fans. The sharp noise is data transfers. Most of the sounds are caused by moving the mouse. The processors are not "heard" by placing a small antenna between the flat cables from two hard discs, you can capture the data packages. That may be done next time.

Thunderstorm aftermath. Sounds of a thunderstorm about 10 minutes after it left the area. So low rumbles and rain dripping. The sound was recorded using a yamaha audiogram6 connected to a radioshack brand vocal microphone. Sampling was done at 44,100hz and the data was recorded using audacity. I recorded everything as a wav file and then uploaded it the same.

Independence day fireworks display, recorded july 2004 in tewksbury, ma. The noise floor on this one is not so good, but there are a fair number of very nice explosions, pops, and whistles. The sound of quad cycles being ridden in the distance is also audible, particularly loudly starting around the 15:00 mark.

I recorded a thunderstorm with my samsung galaxy m20 out of my bathroom for 10 minutes. There is a corrugated plastic roof, which gives the rain a nice, but also a tinny sound. That's why highlighted the bass sounds and reduced the high noises for a better experiance. I also looped it, so it is 30 minutes long with fade-in and fade-out. Enjoy!.

Recorded on a tascam msr16 4 claps two per track. There might be some low freq noise, since other instruments bleeded from other tracks of the machine, but thats why they are called "dirty drum samples" :) can be layerd to get a gang-clap. Free to use them whereever you want.

Putting magnets on a fridge: in this sound you can hear a person putting magnets on a fridge. You can hear that nice snap when the magnets are close. Recorded using the zoomh4n and the rode ntg1 condenser shotgun microphone. I added a low shelf to try to get rid of some background noise.
