A metallic bowl which when rubbed circuitously with a pestle style cylinder creates a beautiful note that gradually builds into a full ringing tone. This sample was created by taping a razor blade to a contact microphone and allowing the blade to scrape against the edge of a record spinning on a turntable. The reverb was added in real time, so there's not a dry signal recording. Very reminiscent of tg's "hamburger lady" in some ways. Sounds like a human voice almost.
