A mixer truck, freshly loaded is mixing (extremely dry) concrete in the drum as it spins on the frame of the truck! i held the mic to the exterior of the steel drum as it spun. So there are underlying cat engine noises in the background. The concrete is so dry, its load enough to over power the majority of engine sounds.

These are 8 lobsters sold at louisbourg in a cool-box awaiting their demise, saturday, 16 june 2007. Some of them were making this noise; others were silent, or just tapping their palps against the box or the other lobsters periodically. Part of a longer recording; i think i edited out the occasional bang where a lobster hit the mic, but my apologies if i didn't get them all.

This is a test recording of my brand new rode shotgun microphone. I connected it to my sony recorder and did this recording. It sounds amazing for being the price that it was. This microphone was originally designed to be used with cameras, but i am using it as a handheld microphone. Hope you enjoy. Our neighbors fought a lot. Usually at around 2am and it would go on for about an hour or two. Besides being angry and annoyed, my girlfriend and i were always curious as to what they could possibly be fighting about. I had the idea to record them via a long mic cable stretching down the hallway, strategically hidden behind a few pieces of wood, to their apartment door. My plan was to one day play this from my stereo at a loud volume around 2am. As i later thought this through i realized that this would only disturb my other quiet neighbors and was a fairly selfish act. Anyway, i used a $100 audio-technica stereo mic and recorded it directly into my computer as an. Aiff. They seem to be arguing about a stereo and someone not loving the other. It's rather sad. We no longer live in that building so i have no idea what became of them. I hope they are happier now. Enjoy.

I made noise with my teeth hopefully it sounds like its a squish or squirt that was what i was going for. It was created on audacity with my blue yeti microphone. It was done at home i simply pushed my tongue against my teeth simple and got really close to the mic. You don't have to do this, but i would like for you to tell me what its being used for if its not too much trouble.

Been downloading off this site for ages and thought i'd give something i recorded back. I drank from a glass bottle by a mic to recreate a character in a film drinking some beer from a glass bottle. A small sound but in those quiet scenes i think noises like this make all the difference. Done on my olympus dm5 recorder that i use for last minute foley. Hooray i'm finally on here!.

Gareth stuart is playing while we test mic techniques for: interaural intensity difference, interaural time difference and which techniques and positions reduced the instruments natural hiss, but we also discovered that a lot of people like the clarinet's tuneful hiss. We used an ab split stereo pair , xy pair and then an ortf pair. Used rode's nt5 pair, veeery nice.

I noticed one night my broken metallic glass screen door was making quite a ruckus in the wind. I grabbed my zoom h1 and a roll of duct tape and taped it to the interior portion of the door. I proceeded to record the semi-contact-mic results here in at 96 khz / 24 bit. Plenty of good stuff to pull from here, imo. Hope you can get some use out of this one. Enjoy.

This is a field recording, done using a zoom h6 with attached stereo mic. The limiter (general type) was activated on the channel. This is the raw recording without any eq or dynamics added. A quick normalization gave a nice, rich signal that you might be able to use for any purpose. Apply a low pass filter to cut out the rain. Well, enjoy. :). More of this will be uploaded.

Normalized to 0dbfs with spot noise removal on birds during the drive-by in rx5, tail left unprocessed. No other processing of any kind. This sound effect acts as a demonstration of this stereo pair mic combination right out of the box.
