This track was developed in east harlem new york city during the 2nd quarter of 2018. It was developed via apple's logic pro x via a macbook pro 2017. The mixing process employed the usage of stictly logic pro x plugins (e. G. Compressors, equalizers). Monitoring the audio was performed via the presonus eris e4. 5 monitors in a bedroom home studio. Long easy rain. Recorded from my front porch the evening of may 22, 2018. Almost half an hour; slice it up to use your favorite parts. Rain slows down around 3:00. Some distant thunder around 16:20. Look out for a few small ambient noises like splashes or traffic. A perfect audio bed under your sound design of a rainy scene. Or layer it to create a storm.

A crowd of tourists disembark from the belle of cincinnati after a tour along the ohio river. Crowd moves from right to left in the stereo image. There may be some mention of stepping in duck poop by one of the tourists, but i will leave that up to you to confirm. Gear: zoom h6, xyh-6 x/y capsule (120 degree stereo image), rycote windjammer, mounted on a tripod.

Nyc subway train arrives, doors open, announcement of direction, doors close, train departs. I stood on the platform at the montrose l station with a sony minidisc and recorded the entire process of a nyc subway train coming and going. Low noise, though you may wish to use a high-pass filter as there is so much bass in the material.

Two sennheiser g3 transmitters were set for the same frequency; one of them was transmitting a previous interference recording from my macbook p2 phone output, the other one had no input;the receptor was connected to loudspeakers; the interference would vary as i moved each transmitter around. I recorded the loudpeakers output through the macbook built-in microphone, on audacity. This is a specially noisy part i exported. Not a pretty sound, but may be useful.

This is not the greatest recording ever, but you may find some use for it. Single player dribbling a basketball in an open gym. Some of the dribbling is deliberate and slow, other dribbling a more regular pace. This was recorded in an open gym so there is no ambient sound of crowds or other people other than the hum of the gym lights.

50 claps made in blok modular from scratch. Supposed to sound very unrealistic/dry/drum machine-like as possible so you don't have to sample the real thing. Some of these use asymmetric waveshaping which adds dc offset (0 hz noise) so you may want to highpass the crustier ones. I would've uploaded a zip of the individual hits but because of the way freesound works you'll have to chop it up yourself.

7 hits on a paddle fan. Still figuring out how to record this. Recorded on samson q2u - the mic was behind the drum surface, and it was struck by my finger lightly on the other side, while being held at a wooden handle. There's some light paint on the drum surface, which may be made of synthetic (plastic?) material, and the rim is wire. It was a gift - unsure of its origins or nature, but it sounds cool.

Big lightning happening in my hometown the evening of may 24th 2020. Went outside with a tascam dr-05 handheld recorded to try and get some thunderclaps, but unfortunately the rain and lightning were more prevalent than the thunder. Here and there i comment to myself about a particularly big flash, hoping it results in a big boom, but there aren't as many booms as i was hoping to capture in the time i had the recorder switched on.

A short segment as i played along with the ramones' song: my brain is hanging upside down. I recorded it on my roland td-9 module and edited it in sony sound forge and sony vegas. There's a slight buzz that i get and i tried to clean it up as best i could with noise reduction. Someday i'll figure out what is causing the buzz. Please comment on what you may use it for. I live next to a car repair place and they have a couple of hot rods that they fire up now and then. This is a '55 chevy and to me the idle sounds like a dragon breathing. He does a couple of slight burnouts and you can hear the echo off the buildings. Recorded with my yamaha pocketrak and edited with sony vegas with one track duplication. An ambient recording in may 2022 of a farm in rhinebeck, upstate new york. I wish i could name the animals that can be heard on here, there are all manner of frogs and birds in the area (blue jays, mockingbirds etc) alas i am not a native. There is a continuous whine throughout the recording which is a distant water pump - i suspect that, if desirable the frequency could be excluded with a bit of parametric eq.

Some raw one-shots from my doepfer a-100 modular synthesizer recorded and edited using ni maschine. In my ears they sound way better with a bit of compression, but i thought the unprocessed files would be more useful. Naming is super vague. Recorded back in may 2014. It's always nice to hear what projects you use these sounds for. Let me know.

Record of the walk and start of the car. On the recording you can hear footsteps on the rocky ground. Opening the car and then putting the key to the ignition and starting the car. Car sound is audible inside the car and may be hard to hear. I made the recording on the zoom h5 handy recorder. The headphones used are superlux. I used a sandisk 32 gb card. Regards :).

I have so many sounds, i overlook stuff. Someone may find a use for this. Someone enters my shared apartment and i don't know who it is, or to whom the heavy footsteps belong. Doesn't matter, i'm in the bathroom, all i have is a towel and there wouldn't be time to any more than get to it. I prefer to select who sees me that way. Usually. So, i run to latch the door.

Line samples from a casio ap-45 on the default grand piano patch. Samples every c and g from c2 through to c9 with a short sustain. Velocity is pretty aggressive and it doesn't sound quite in tune to my ear. Feels like it's a little bit out. You may want to tune these yourself, if you plan to use them for anything significant. Minimal post processing on these. Just enough to get them roughly even in terms of overall volume.

This was recorded with a trustin portable rechargeable 8gb dictaphone. The recorder was held about 7" away for the louder scrapes and drops and no more than 3" away with the softer scraping sounds. Some normalization was used to drop the peaks. The tiles were in the small hall of an apartment, facing an open door. The hall was approximately 3 feet wide and 8 feet long. This is free to use anywhere you may find useful, and i'd love to hear the results.

I recorded this with my yamaha pocketrak at the paramount theater in seattle on feb. 29th, 2016 with one track duplication. This is the applause for stewart copeland and the seattle rock orchestra. Copeland scored the music for the silent version of 'ben hur' and the show was great as you can hear from the final applause. This was recorded in a small, underground brick wine cellar during a wine-tasting event in europe. While the language spoken in the clip is slovak, it's impossible to pick out any indivdiual conversations, so this could be used as background noise in any project. At 0:57, there is a distinct "ano" (slovak for yes) which you may wish to edit out if you need the full minute. Mp3 recorded at 320 kps on a tascam dr-1 stereo mic recorder.

Soundscape of an enfolding air raid on a doomed city, period around world war ii, from some distance from the city itself. In the onset, the listener stands on a windy heath, and hears the air-raid sirens in the distance. Then come the bombers (propeller planes!), supposedly lancasters or so, passing overhead toward their target. . . I did this for a tv documentary, however i kept all rights and, as usual, you may use it free of charge and attribution. Enjoy.

Foley audio of passing cars on a country lane. Cars passed behind the direction the camera was facing. There's a mild stabilisation noise you may hear which could detriment your audio if not removed. I got inspired by the alien films and alien isolation, so i decided to design some alien xenomorph sounds. They are printed with and without the fx i designed to suit the environment of the alien isolation game (metal corridors and vent shafts).
