This sound i recorded on thursday the 5th around 7am local time in charkiv. It is one take recorded with my dmr85 hbb mic. Unedited, no gain, raw.

This was recorded with the help of my lovely local fire volunteers. There is no doppler, no vehicle engine, no street noise. Has a bit of echo to it. Includes 3 different siren sounds to be edited as you need.

Sounwalk in vancouver, bc, on may 4, 2014. A group of sound enthusiasts and musicians took a stroll around local neighbourhood, listening to big and small accidental sounds, and occasionally playing the trumpet/singing and vocalizing around the sounscape of the city.

I used a recording app on my samsung galaxy 3 phone to capture a caged parrot talking to itself, outside of a local restaurant. Unfortunately there was also a couple talking - but the parrot is loud and distinctive. A little wind noise. Cleaned up in audacity. And i have no idea what the parrot was saying!.

I recorded one usable minute of passing train, moving slowly through town. I thought the local engine served just one customer, a major metal scrap yard, but the half-dozen box cars on this engine don't fit that model. Considering the overall decrepit condition of american railways, this one isn't bad.

The local library has a printer whose noise i thought was quite unique. I forgot to record it the first time, so the second time i checked out books i made sure to record it. There's a little bit of background noise, but it is a public library. [please let me know if you use my sound in anything!! i'd love to hear where it ends up].

This is a recording of a local (seoul) police car siren. . . Its use here is probably to attract the attention of an illegal parker. . . If they see an illegally parked car they will activate the siren to let the offender know they are about to tag it. . . It gives the driver the opportunity to move it before getting a ticket.

I bought a portable sw radio for about £2 from a local flea-market, hoping to pick up some interesting radio stations from around the world and maybe some "spy" numbers stations if i was lucky.
