This is an aif (garage band) file of just good ol' tape hiss recorded from a jvc tape machine (cassette). It's just tape hiss. You can change the freq to help blend it in your recordings. I have the volume on this at a higher level. When i blend this with my digital recordings i turn it down just enough to hear it without it being too analog sounding. Hope you can use it. It's great for soft passes and solo instruments, much like white noise of a studio perhaps.

Recorded during riding by attaching a zoom h4n at my left leg. The xy-microphone pointed vertically direction to the seat/engine, so no spectacular stereo-sound, but different sound timbre on l/r. This is a whole lot of longsword-on-longsword sounds. I was specifically trying to get nice sounds for "winding", when two swords are pushed back and forth and around each other as opponents look for an opening. There are also some "binding" sounds, when the two swords first clash. Some of these binding noises did peak the mic. None of these binding noises were the swords hitting at full force - they are all weaker binds. Pick and choose the noises you like to build your sword fight foley.

I recorded some rain outside my front door. This is a tuned (a440) sample which you can use to achieve a sort of soft-yet-textured synth string sound in a virtual instrument like ableton's sampler. I think adding a little fake vibrato to it with multiple conflicting volume lfos sounds pretty nice. You're free to use this sound without attribution. A flash thunderstorm in queensland came about randomly in the afternoon and i thought it would be cool to recorded it. I recorded it under an awning since i didn't want to get the recorder wet and the awning was acting a little like a wind tunnel so there's these high pitch wind noises too. Plus thunder in the background. Was recorded on a zoom h5. With the limiter turned on. Forgot to turn it off since it was spur of the moment.

Recorded just after the clock struck midnight, signaling the beginning of 2023 in greenville, south carolina with a tascam dr-05 stereo recorder. Very nice clear recording with basically zero unwanted noises except for an occasional light water drip. Audio edited to perfection by me. ;) did some light eq, compression, limiting, and stereo balancing, as well as removing some of the constant ambient white noise hiss. A rifle being dropped on the floor 3 times. Very metallic-y sounding drop sound with tons of bass. This one was sort of a happy accident. I was recording some ak foley with an airsoft gun i had when i accidentally dropped it. The sound it made turned out so good that i ended up using it for this. The game of coin-football, which you can hear ringing constantly in the background is also characteristic for polish coastal tourist areas. Line samples from a casio ap-45 on the default grand piano patch. Samples every c and g from c2 through to g8 with the sustain pedal down. Velocity is pretty aggressive and it doesn't sound quite in tune to my ear. Feels like it's a little bit out. You may want to tune these yourself, if you plan to use them for anything significant. No post processing done, so it might be worthwhile to normalize the samples out, if you're planning on putting them into a sampler for playback.

Noise of a solar power dc-ac inverter on a sunny day. A static hum with some kind of a rhythmic modulation. Sometimes other noises like a bird singing outside, however mostly the pure sound of the inverter. Recorded x/y stereo with at4041 mics into a pmd661 recorder. Eqed in fabfilter, there used to be a sine beep at 15. 8khz, inaudible for many people but it would have been even more annoying for those who can still hear it.
