I needed a sound fx of a dog scratching itself for a 3d animation, so i did this foley recording. First i tapped a bunch of keys to simulate the tags jingling. There is a vent in my house that sounds fantastic when it rains. The drops hitting the tin cover sound almost like popping popcorn in this recording, but it's a more friendly sound in person. Sound is a home-made circuit bent walkie talkie fashioned into a sort of opto-theremin. Main fx used to process it: boss xtortion and wattson superfuzz, with various other fx switched on and tweaked in the middle. Very much like a chainsaw in the beginning. . . That or a motorbike. The "reving engine" effect was created by blocking the amount of light going to the photocell (which was ripped out of a furby!).

This sound consists on the effect of opening a trash container, it is made of plastic but the pedals that force the mechanism to open are made of steel. The sound is like displacing plastic strongly. My dog and the nieghbour's dog don't like each other. While i was asleep they went to the fence and from the calmness they barked and growled at each other. A remix of freesound 252834 and 17804. I took 252834 and course quantized it in goldwave, then lowered the volume and mixed it with some of the static from 17804. I used goldwave's mechanize feature at 10000khz, then applied low pass filter at 10000 khz to filter out the newly created upper sideband, then i used mechanize again at 9000 khz, which tuned in the recording just like if i had a tuneable receiver.

This is a sound i made in audacity by recording myself going "vvvvvvvvvvvvvv. . . " on two separate tracks and slowing them both down by 95% and adding a little bit of reverb. I think it's sort of convincing but i think it would be better if the pulse of the samples being copied a bunch of times kind of gives it away. Feel free to do what you like with it.

So i have these insane neighbors that start trashing their roller blinds from 7:30 pm - 8:30 pm with all their might and power and it's like 30 neighbors doing this day by day. In order for me to therapize myself, i recorded these sounds to work it into a song someday. 3 sounds are that. The 4th sound is my field mic clanking hardly against my ur44 by accident.

I found when mixing the film that if you apply a cut around the upper-mid range of an eq that you remove a lot of the pressure heard from the exertion of the cork and it sounds more like a bottle cap opening but that's up to you. I really needed something that sounded like a group of horses galloping in the distance and couldn't find anything. So i busted out my zoom h6 and set it on my futon comforter and then just tapped my fingertips on the surface right next to the stereo mics. Then i put that track in premiere and made four layers, all offset to get different rhythm and i thought it turned out pretty good so wanted to share it.

H4zoom recodered (place: quebrada de here, toconao, andes mountain on north of chile) processed with sound studio (normalize to 0db). I work in documentary and fiction films in chile. These small sound clips i made while accompanying friends to make hands-free climbing on a small creek near toconao south of san pedro de atacama. They like to play drums to quench anxiety. Was in october 2012.

This sound was created using the risset tone generator in audiomulch. I added some timbral complexity using the shaper and granulator effects before running it through some delay and reverb. This particular sound has a dissonant, almost violin-like quality. Hopefully this sound might be of use for soundtracks of various kinds. It should be easy to loop, if you need it to be longer.
