I recorded my voice while watching and listening to sad stuff to force real crying out of me. This way i can have real crying clips for stock instead of trying to fake it. I am honestly surprised that i wasn't crying harder. I think i was trying to hold myself back for fear a neighbor would think something was actually wrong. Oh, and i know my crying is ugly, please don't make fun of it.

Doepfer a-118 white noise through an a-108 vcf8 using the band-pass out. Audio level: 4. 5emphasis/resonance: 9frequency: around 12khz. Recorded using a rme babyface and cubase 6. 5. I tried to cut seemless loops. It's always nice to hear what projects you use these sounds for. Let me know. ;-).

A pluck on a jew's harp. Recorded late at night in my bedroom on a samsung mp3 player. I enhanced it to the best of my abilities in audacity since the original recording had a low bitrate (64kbps mp3), the volume was low and it had a lot of static noise. Unfortunately the recording have a lot less warmth to it than the instrument has in reality. I am not sure of the tone of the harp but i believe it is a c, if it is not please let me know. 1 of 15.

Here's my first field recording and first upload on here. I recorded my friend's fireplace in his apartment for a theater production through my college for which i was the sound designer and sound board operator. I used a zoom q3hd with its built-in stereo xy microphones at about a foot or so away from the fire (on the bricks directly encasing the fireplace) with some make-shift baffling around the fireplace (safe, i know). This track is an edited version, a sort of "best of".

Whenever i'm bored i tend to beatbox, so i decided to multitrack myself one day in the hopes of creating a full song out of it. I never did finish it, so i've included this and another loop of my multi-tracked vocals in this pack. If you use it leave a comment to let me know where i can hear what you did with it!.

I recorded this sound with the microphone from the logitech quickcam for notebooks pro. I know, the webcam is really old but i happened to find it from my brothers room and used it for a microphone replacement. You may say it distorts a lot, but that's just because the original setting of level is 50+ db. Now onto the topic. I spinned the usb cord around the end, and tried to do it fast enough to create this sound. This is a modified sound from its original. Spectral editing in audacity has been done.

These sounds were created from xpand!'s sitar sound font and musescore's clave sound font. They were used in an ambient track simulating the sounds of exploring an ancient egyptian tomb. This could be used as a transition, when discovering treasure or a secret passage, or any number of events that need an egyptian or middle-eastern flavor. (forgive the squeaks. I have no control over that. )saw this on you tube for guitar and recorded with my epiphone sg through the walrus slo pedal on the dream setting and into the focusrite 2i2 interface into reaper. Finger style with bass. The bass was recorded with a squire mini-bass through a behringer bxl1800 amp also through the interface to reaper. Thanks much to kenny gioia for the reaper tutorials as i would never be able to figure things out on my own. Comments welcome and let me know what you may use it on. :-).

I recorded this quick improvisation with my built-in laptop microphone and track monitoring on in reaper, which resulted in it sounding washed-out, warped, and screechy in the high end. At the beginning you hear the distorted wail of a left click initiating the recording. Somebody walks into the living room at the end and we share an exchange. I didn't add any effects or edit this audio in any way, it's just a fun experiment. Let me know if you use this for something!!!!!.

So i've made a skit 10 or so years ago. It was for a story i had designed called "axe troopers" 3 kids with an axe trained to be assassins. Literally do not have anytime now to study animation have to raise my daughter. But this lovely piece has been sitting on my hard drive. . . . I was curious what it would look like if it was animated in any way. . . So here it is! please message me if you ever get a chance to animate this piece at all. . . Quite simply a recording of me screaming in a humorous way (if you're looking for a scream sound effect for a project with a serious tone, i doubt this one will be suitable). Even though i'm a woman, i have a feeling this sound could be used for a male character too, probably one with a voice that's not too deep. I recorded this by mistake when i was just 14! me and my sister had just been recording something on my mp3 player, then when we'd finished, i accidentally pressed record again. I don't know why, but i responded by doing a silly scream before pressing the button to stop recording! weird reaction, i know. I was probably just trying to make her laugh. I kept the very short recording ever since and in more recent years, i showed it to a friend who found it absolutely hilarious! i realised this was a such a gem of a scream that i simply had to upload it as my first ever contribution to this wonderful site i've been using for years!. I've edited out one second of silence that preceded the scream in the original version of the file. Although it's not essential because i'm releasing this into the public domain, i'd love to hear in the comments about what you use this sound for :).

Not just any thunder this! this is the spanish variety and anyone who has been around a spanish thunderstorm will know what i mean. This field recording was made from my villa and this is both rural and situated between two mountain ranges. So, you've got the thunder, the acoustics, the sound of the rain and the birds in the nearby trees. If you listen closely enough then you might hear the sound of the breeze through the palm trees. Recorded with twin directional mike pointing away from each other. . . For just about the best stereo separation you're going to get!.

This is some background music i made in fl studio for a horror game i made. I thought that you could use it too. Use it for what ever you want but if you make over 1 million dollars off you aaa game / movie than you share the wealth lol but i would like to know what you use it for that is it credit would be nice but not necessary.

It's ranging form whisper to shout. Recorded with a zoom h2 on a mic stand. Originally wav 96khz/24-bit. It was silence-truncated with audacity and normalized. Ps:. I don't speak english natively, so i might not pronounce it as expected. If that's a problem - let me know i'll try to correct myself.

I live on a lake and this is what my back patio sounds like every night. They live in the branches of the weeping willow trees that dip down to the water. The sound starts with one frog, then a few join in, and soon there as a chorus of them on all ends of the lake in all tempos going at once. Then when a crescendo is reached, they all start to stop one by one until it's silent again. But the silence only lasts for minute, and then the cycle repeats. I don't know if it's some huge frog mating ritual, or family reunion.

Set computer volume level at normal. Using headphones or your speakers, play each tone, gradually decreasing the volume until you cannot detect it. Note the volume setting (i know, this isn't easy if you don't have a graduated control, but you can make some arbitrary levels using whatever indicator you have on your os). Repeat with next tone.
