One of my favorite summer and late-summer sounds. The night-hawk is the star of this recording. This recording was made around 9pm at night in mid-august and, even though i never could see this nighthawk, his calls pierced through the night-sky to let me know he was up there, somewhere, orbiting on the prowl for mosquitos and other insects. I have always loved this sound ever since i was a kid and going to sleep at night i felt comforted knowing that, like some circling fighter jet, the nighthawks would be on the job, plowing down the population of mosquitos, while i slept all night. Recording actually made in the parking lot of a major midwest university around 9pm at night on august 19th, 2014. Equipment: marantz pmd661 modified by oade brothers electronics, beyerdynamic me58 microphone. My record volume was 7.

It was a very uncommon, one-of-a-kind situation. You wind up somewhere you didn't intend and still sober, but someone is drunk enough, to not only drop his pants and to assume the position, but to be bound there. Then a brand new heavy-duty police-grade taser is passed around, "no, you do it. "(note: this was actually technically a stun gun. Supposedly the device contacts the victim, or patsy). I was sure he would never know who pressed the button, testicles that i never asked to see were right there and i just couldn't resist. I didn’t think it made contact because i didn’t make ‘em move. Pressing the button, however, did. I know i wasn't the last to do it either, but i was already on my way out the door. Probably wasn't his best night. The file is named after the abused end. Ps, i think i was supposed to taze his butt. Nup.

This is my second blade effect. Let me know if it is any good. I think it sounds just a little bit better than my first one. I used a blood splatter, a shovel sound, a clothing rip, and my own swinging sound. Like always, no credit is necessary. Use it in any games or movies you make. I'll be seeing if i can use this too.

Found this ancient mr. Coffee making these creepy sounds whilst brewing. I could get some decent "coffee brewing" sounds out of it, but the moaning and heavy breathing is what makes it. Recorded at high bit rate, so there's plenty there to manipulate into a sucking chest wound death rattle or whatever you're into. This monstrosity is what i got when i attempted to add a reduce vocals effect to an episode of an old low-budget nickelodeon show from the 90s. I don't know why, but trying to apply this effect to it only gave me this horrific garble. Kinda like a messed up tape recorder or something, idk. Anyways, this is my first sound effect on this site and i'd love to hear your thoughts. Made with wavepad.

Recording of a fairly boisterous stream near my house. It has a lot of motion due to the fact that a branch was caught on the bank of the stream which was being pulled about in different directions resulting in different rates of flow and a varying sound. Some light wind at a couple of points, should be fairly easily edited/eq'd out. Recorded with a rode ntg-2 and zoom h2. Please let me know what you use it for!.

I was recording some cloth foley when, all of a sudden, a sickening burp emerged straight into the microphone. I think you could also use this sound as part of someone puking. Recorded with an akg c414 in hyper-cardioid mode through a scarlett 6i6 into pro tools 10. If you use this sound let me know as i'm curious to see what kind of uses it has.

The man doesn't snore, but there really isn't all that much difference. A big chest has big lungs and they take a while to fill. On exhale just a small portion of each breath has a bit of expressive voice. Who knows why? to be fair, it isn't always present when he sleeps. Just often. An older classic movie called legends of the fall features a sleeping grizzly. This reminds me of that.

This is actually an odd sound my thermos makes when i don't close the lid properly. I guess it could be used for all sorts of abstract things, like ants talking to each other, alien sounds, organic things in general. It's just air going through a thin space. Feel free to use, no need to attribute, but i'd love to know where it went.

Recorded with tascam dr-07mkii. While on holiday staying in a country cottage near some cow fields, there was a mother cow and what must have been her 2 calves which had been put into separate fields either side of a road. This was obviously pretty distressing for the cows and so they were constantly mooing at each other and being the kind of guy i am, of course i recorded it!. I have done as much as i can to reduce wind and other background noises (the windshield i have for my dr-07 doesn't seem to do a lot except make it look like it's got a 70s afro) and have trimmed all the cow sounds out and put them together into this one file. Some are better than others, it was hard to know which cow was gonna make a noise next. Free to use for anything, if you use it, would be cool if you let us know where in the comments, be interesting to see where they end up :).

I had to make a background track of roman senators talking for a comedy radio theater production. I recorded myself 5 times in different voices (other than my own) and got this track. There's a dumb senator in there, an old man senator, and three other random senator voices. :). You may do whatever you like with this sound. . . Captured this sound on my canon powershot a460 digital camera while traveling on a bus through glasgow scotland. The type of bus i was on was a single decker volvo, by first group, made by the famous wrightbus. Warning! this is an extremely unpleasant sound if you're a headphone user. You know that noise from chrono trigger when lavos cries out as it breaks out of the ground, or in dragon ball z, toward the end(yeah right) of the fight between frieza and goku, when the lightning storms begin as planet namek is breaking up. Like a cross between an earthquake and a lightning strike. Yeah, that sound. This is the result of me trying(and failing?) to make that happen with soundforge's fm synthesis.

I love the sound on a summer night in our backyard. I woke up at 2:00 am, to minimize street noise, and recorded this. You know that high pitch beep you hear after something super loud, like an explosion? here's a five second effort to reproduce that sound. It fades out towards the end like the person either comes back to themselves or passes out. There's probably some on freesound already but i couldn't find them so i just made my own in audacity.

It's a shopping cart on a gravel lot, but the pitch reminds me of some kind of old machine running or getting going. Hoping this one doesn't have the squeak sounds like with the wav file. My first attempt at ambient guitar. Recorded with my epiphone sg through the walrus slo pedal on 'rise'setting, into the focusrite 2i2 interface and then into reaper. The bass is a squier mini-bass through a behringer bxl1800 amp into the interface and into reaper. I used reverb, eq, compression and pan surround on both instruments. Comments welcome and let me know what you use it for. :-).

Simple patch. Two oscillators, ring modulation, lfos, vcas and digital effects. No spring reverb this time. Important module is the clock divider. Result a generative ambient patch and sound. I recorded for 1,5h. The synth gave me some strange slow crescendo. Don't really know why. This is the last 30 min. Space drone sci-fi sound.

This is the sound of the broken fan at the bathroom in my friends house. It sounds a lot like a cricket, but i can assure you it’s a machine- once again this was straight off my phone so sorry if the quality is pretty bad. I hope this can still be of use to you. A recording of cameron, my cat, in the upstairs hallway letting us know she caught one of her toys. She howls like this most every night usually when we're downstairs watching tv. I'm guessing she feels we're not paying enough attention. Cut out all the silence between the yowls and added splice markers for use in a make noise morphagene.

I only made it once, recorded with peak and my ibook's built-microphone. I never met the car's owner and i don't know where it's gone now, since i have not seen that car since then. .

I know a gentleman who started cutting his kids' hair and just never stopped cutting hair, long past his retirement as a farmer. I've never seen him take a cent for it, and he has friends; so he's never out of practice. You will hear an electric clipper used to taper hair on the back of the neck and to trim sideburns. He does not use a barber's straight-razor, but a small electric razor finishes the job.

Here's some more of that couple next door. At 0. 24 sounds like a door close, so consider that's when the couple begins to have their you know in bed. Passed 1:05 is where you can start hearing a bit of the woman. Passed 1:55 is where the woman gives out some louder moans. The sex noises is from 1:05-4:37. This was edit and shorten with audacity.
