An acoustic loop i recorded and added some slight effects too. Kind of reminds me of a lick that might be used for a mobb deep style hip-hop track.

What's up! this is my firts sample i put here. With some big spherical card tube i do some kind of ''brrrrrrrr'' with my mouth. So that give me this sample i have here for all of you. I reverse it allready, so if you want to listen to the original sound of the record you will need to reverse it. . . But don't give a lot of diference. Feel free for use it!.

Whilst sitting outside a starbucks in hollywood, ca, i took notice of a man talking/arguing to a half-empty bottle of coca-cola. What ensued was about 26 minutes of stream-of-consciousness homeless speak. Some of the more coherent passages were about gambling debts in reno, nv. I'm still wrestling with the morality of recording these kinds of things.

This is a recording made just outside my window. A helicopter flew over just a minute later, twice! i used a cheap large diaphragm condensor mic, with a plastic bendable tube around it, pointing just outside of my window. This created a cool midrangy-resonant-combfilter kind of sound. Gear used: cheap ldc -> m-audio dmp3 -> terratec ewx2496. This is for the earthfirewindwater contest. Glitchy robot scream, made for a game with robot enemies. I made it by using audacity's "import raw data" function to import random program files which creates all kinds of crazy noises. (all the sounds in this pack came from the files of an emulated ps2 game. ) i then put a vocoder on the sounds i found to make them sound even more robotic.

This is a kind of dull, soft laser bolt or gun blast. Or perhaps just some sort of impact sound. I thought it was interesting, because what it really is made up of is the sound of me shuffling my cell phone around for a second. How it ended up sounding like this i don't know. A mid-sized waterfall flowing into a gentle stream. This is near the road by the grand prismatic spring in yellowstone. The timbre of this smaller fall is higher than the roar of the large waterfall. And you can just make out the gurgling of the stream. But, in general, this kind of thing sounds a bit like static. Sorry it's so short, there was a lot of wind and people talking. This is a sound i made in audacity by recording myself going "vvvvvvvvvvvvvv. . . " on two separate tracks and slowing them both down by 95% and adding a little bit of reverb. I think it's sort of convincing but i think it would be better if the pulse of the samples being copied a bunch of times kind of gives it away. Feel free to do what you like with it.

Just a long, reverberating and multi-faceted fart sound made with my ample arm, sock over the microphone, in a small sound booth. No extra noises. Editted a few together from different tracks to create the 'overlapping' effects of the smaller ones, added a few effects, and was used in a 'toon of mine (kind of 'butthole of the world' volcano going off, suffice to say). Not as wet sounding as i thought it was going to be, though. Can be cropped, etc.

This sound was created using the risset tone generator in audiomulch. I added some timbral complexity using the shaper and granulator effects before running it through some delay and reverb. This particular sound has a dissonant, almost violin-like quality. Hopefully this sound might be of use for soundtracks of various kinds. It should be easy to loop, if you need it to be longer.

All i did is that i recorded and played a little riff on my violin with my ipad, and then add some reverb, and delay effects in audacity. (very eerie-like, but pretty). This kind of reverb used in the beginning and end of the riff is a cathedral room-like sound, and a few seconds of delay. I used mostly double-stops during the riff. Enjoy.

Sounds of trains passing above an art atelier in brussels, belgium; the room is right below the railway, so you can hear trains making different kinds of rumbles and noises from the other side of the ceiling. It was recorded with a tascam hd-p2 recorder and a sennheiser mkh50 directional microphone. I selected only the train-passing moments, there is a metal door shaking on the background and maybe some traffic, but i think it's cool enough. (:.

The clip was created using a synsonics "terminator" guitar with a built-in amp by running the output to my sound card and sound card's output going into to a secondary jack intended for headphones on the guitar. It created an interesting metallic noise, almost like a ring mod. . . There is a segment where i was poking the guitar's amp circuit board with my fingers which creates lots of grumbling/squelchy noises. . . The guitar is kind of crappy, but it makes a pretty neat noise synth! :b.

These owls were recorded around 8:30 at night in the shawnee national forest using my trusty rode ntg-2 on a mic stand. Even though it was a mild night and the insects and frogs should have been vocalizing, they weren't. It was kind of neat -- a dead-quiet night with nothing but these owls. If you thought that owls only do "hoot-hoot" you'll be surprised. After about a minute into it they really get going.
