A very quiet morning recorded 5th march at 09:00 am in fife, scotland. There was hardly any wind which is unusual here at the coast. So it was easy to record with my olympus ls-12 and rycote windshield.

Insect sounds at midnight in a remote unplanted corn field, recorded on a sony himd minidisc recorder with a rode nt-4 stereo microphone fitted with a rycote windscreen.

This random sound was recorded with an iphone. It is the sound of a few footsteps in grass, and then someone picking some grass. I'm sure someone could use it, right? xd. Recording of a single cricket which found its way into the bottom of a stairwell. The surrounding walls are cemented giving a prominent reverb. The recorder (zoom h2) was placed about six inches away from the cricket.

Tornado siren in streamwood, il recorded during the monthly test. This version is heavily edited, with some filtering and compression applied, as most of the recording was distorted (i was too close to the siren!), although it should be useable with appropriate filtering to suit your purpose. The actual siren is located a short way north west of the geotag (it should be visible using google's satellite view). Recorded using a rode ntg2 into a zoom h4.
