I recorded the sound of my dog's collar using a zoom h4n recorder and a rode m3 microphone. This would be a good sound used in the background in an outdoor scene. I can imagine this recorded noise starting off soft and gradually getting louder to indicate a dog walking by before it softens up and gradually trails off as the dog gets further and further away.

While editing the sound i posted prior to this, some sort of glitch in logic's system gave me this. I made sure to keep it for freesound. It's just a few seconds of a glitchy, vocal-esque sound. Already mixed it together somewhat. It might be good for dj's.

This is a "recreation" of the sounds heard at the beginning of the "alice in wonderland" superbowl tv spot. I used jobro's cinematica 7 in reverse and timbre's bass drum and discordant bells. The ticking sound i made by tapping a pen. I recorded the full "ticking track" (up to :17 in the spot) but didn't have the string hits to make it sound good.

I climbed down a narrow rock cave to record the eerie sounds of waves and water pouring in and out of the cave. It seems like it's never exactly the same sound. Good for setting ambiance in a cave for your treasure hunting pirate movie or audiobook.

Hi. This is a loop of aurora colorado'sold whelen wps-3016 system test. The city had 3016's, and wps-2810's. They did the wail tone for 3 minutes, and the whoop tone for 30 seconds. This is a one sycle loop of the wail tone. You can hear the other sirens in the system in the background, as well as some very excited dogs that where barking during the whole test. I don't know the exact location of this siren. Also, the system has been removed and replaced with new whelens a couple of years ago. They had a yellow wps-3016 in the sistem hope you like it. Digital noise made from raw binary files extracted from hdd with hexplorer using raw import function in audacity. Files were 4, each made from 200 sectors. I modified each sound using filters and joined them together to make longer looping example. Good to use in a game or 3d video animation as background ambient noise. Audacity and hexplorer are freeware and you can make similar job with them. . .

Original description: very low key, down-tuned bass sound with long sustain and release/tail. Sounds good in higher pitches too. Came from two highly tweaked tom and click sounds in flstudio's edison.

Here is a gas meter on a restaurant. I managed to get a chunk without much background noise here but i do change the mic position part way through the recording. . You'll notice it gets darker, then change it back. There's enough of each to get a good loop going as i have in the past. Recorded with a zoom h4.

This is a very lowfi recording of a xerox workcentre 7345 in a very small room being switched on from standby and initializing, including some button presses with beeps, mechanical movement sounds and motors. The bitrate is only 13 kbit/s and the resulting audio quality not very good, but the file size is really small. Maybe audio level needs normalizing, though.

This sound byte is an odd one that i made when i was pretty bored, it might be good for a drone or sound of a phantom or something. It could even be a warning or system message for a game.
