There is alot going on under the hood here, everything from an analog bass exciter, feeding into a audio rectifier, creating that unique bass tone. A highpass filter, feeding into a delay. And then a tape emulator, featuring frequency loss, tape degradation and wow'n'flutter. Other versions of this remix:. . Since my ears can't hear any frequencies above 14khz (please remember to wear ear defenders around loud machinery! thank you. <3), i can't hear tape hiss very clearly, and are afraid i might overdo the volume. I was playing around trying to create a different sound when i accidentally created this sound which reminded me of a rocket flying by. I thought it might be useful and uploaded it. I kept it a bit longer so you can edit it into a loop or fade it out to make it seem the rocket flies away =). Made with fl studio with the free firebird vst plugin.

Used as part of an old time radio show live production. . . I used two toy ray guns and fired them at close range and distant range. . . Various rates of firing. . . As if in a "space patrol" ray-gun battle with aliens. . . 48 khz at 16 bit - using sony mini-disc recorder 2009 - interior.

A synth chord i placed in fl studio. C a f c. Using a saw square and pulse pwm wave for combo. Then put a sweeping band pass filter from top frequency to bottom frequency. Then i put a panner with the speed lfo sweeping from fast to slow. Next the right amount of reverb. Finally some copmression and normalizing. Using sound to reach out to angels.

Sound effect similar to a large energy beam quickly charging, then firing a large, long-lasting, destructive laser that gradually changes form (either weakens or grows). Created using a wide variety recorded sounds (including a washing machine, sliding of rocks in a metal bucket, and various other objects being thrown and collided), mixed and heavily edited in audacity.

A retro "fire the projectile" sound in an old-school 8-bit video game. Sounds like it should be on an enemy instead of the main player since it's quite dark and hollow. Generated with a periodic 1-bit noise pattern.

This is a simple loop of me playing some nice triplet delay textures on guitar. This is a stereo file with 2 guitars panned on the right and left, playing the same pattern in different octaves, offering a nice atmosphere. This was recorded with a hagstrom f200p (awesome p90 style pickups) on a voxac15, using a boss dd7 for the delay and a beheringer reverb unit (yeah, i love the lo-fi sound of that cheap box!).

While outputting a file of sound effects, i ended up with a severely corrupted file. Playback results include incessant shrieking and slight pitch alterations. To create more variety, i used a lowpass filter and long reverb.
