The following soundscape is the result of a capture sequence shot where the microphone is held in a fixed point choosing not to use motion or panning. There have not been used post-production tools used and the chronological development of events is preserved as it was developed during the 11:00:00 and 11:03:30 in the plaza santísima faz located behind the town hall of the city of alicante a tuesday in july 2015. These sounds were created from xpand!'s sitar sound font and musescore's clave sound font. They were used in an ambient track simulating the sounds of exploring an ancient egyptian tomb. This could be used as a transition, when discovering treasure or a secret passage, or any number of events that need an egyptian or middle-eastern flavor. In fact, this record i added is not a carefully watched record. It's an arrangement i made overnight. I did, though, because i thought the lovers would come out. It's a little nervous. A vigorous spring rain-shower with some beautiful, far-off thunder. This was recorded on march 27, 2021 in a campground in illinois. One of the thunder strikes is so intense that you can hear the screen door rattling!recorded using the marantz pmd661 and the beyerdynamic 8010 omnidirectional microphone. Seem like these intense rain/thunder events could be more common. By the way, the very next day after this was recorded -- while many were sopping up water in their basements -- the day broke beautifully sunny, with not a cloud in the sky. Welcome spring!.

Around 15 minutes of a fireworks show i went to. You can hear many different types of fireworks go off, with crackling, explosions, bangs, booms, etc. In this. There are people and kids talking and laughing in the background throughout many parts due to this being a public event, which may be good or bad depending on what you would like to use this for. The fireworks were not very far away, which means that they do sound close. I even got covered in some ash during the experience. You do not need to credit me for this sound, use it how you like.

A computer-generated voice build specifically for a video game called artemis spaceship bridge simulator. I wrote the text, put it through a royalty-free text to voice generator. Then i edited it in pro tools with several fx to achieve the proper mood. I specifically use it with artemis bridge tools, which lets this track be triggered by game events. While perusing freesound for a nice and dramatic sound or two of failures, all the ones i've seen were pretty wimpy, so-to-speak. So i decided to create a few failure samples on a music-making program called musescore. These are for big whopper failures (or "epic failures") and are very dramatic - they may also be used for a scary event in a film or play. It includes a short buildup and a loud dissonant chord at the end to create suspense and horror. For this project i used violins, violas, cellos, double basses, timpani, cymbals and brass. Enjoy!.

August, 2nd 2013. About eight and a half minutes worth of summer evening ambience, with crickets and cicadas leading the evening songs. Nothing too eventful, but a nice finish to a great day. Recorded at 48khz, 24 bit. Stereo pair of behringer c-2s (cardioid). The mics have an on-board 3-position switch, with labels "flat," "low-cut," and "-10db. " the switch was set in the -10db position (whoops!). It is unclear if this position also activates the low-cut. Additionally, a 24db/oct low-cut applied in pro-tools at 80hz to clean up a slight wind ruffle. Since it was late at night, and the rest of the family was in bed, i opened my window and placed the microphones (almost) right up against the screen. The a/c unit you can hear is directly below the window. Around the 4:45 mark, the digital thermostat hit a programming mark and kicked the air conditioner back on. This is the soundscape i've recorded in my neighboorhood of cidade tiradentes, a district from são paulo, brazil. We name these events as pancadão (big punch) or fluxo (flow).
