A grey squirrel at the edge of a wood seemed quite upset and repeated called for about 5 minutes. I recorded the end of its calling. It is also my first attempt at recording sound with my camera (canon eos 550d). There turned out to be a fan noise with a slight clicking. I ran noise reduction in audacity to remove it and to help reduce the sound of traffic.

This sound would be suited for background atmosphere in a nightmare movie sequence, or to blast out of your windows to the neighborhood on halloween. It was created in audacity by using a piece the audio track from the end of the movie "my cousin vinny". It is the line marisa tomei says as she and vinny are driving back to n. Y. (oh my god, what a f'ing nightmare). It was then noise-reduced, pitch and tempo adjusted, reversed, and paulstretched.

I needed the sound of a plastic recycle bin being rolled out to the curb. I set my zoom h1n on the sidewalk at the end of my driveway and - in two trips - rolled the cans out to the curb. You will hear me walking to the cans in the right channel, the garbage bin is rolled from the right channel to the center-left. Then repeat for the recycle bin.

Recording of the rotation motor on a dynamic perception motion control rig. Recorded with a sennheiser ew100g3 wireless cardioid mic on a zoom h6. Minimal post production with just a highpass filter to remove some of the very low end sound in the background. Kind of reminds me of the scene where neo leaves the matrix for the first time.

A small bassline created with my new rocktile ebass. I used the (free) safe plugins compressor and equalizer by semanticaudio for the effect part. I used audacity to merge the parts. Recorded with wavosaur. There are small pops at the transition from no fx to fx and at the end of the fx part, just cut them away with some audio software. I didn't listen to it before uploading. Plenty of traffic at a large square in central munich, southern germany. The square has been named officially karlsplatz in 1797. Munich natives seldom use that name, calling the square instead stachus. Towards the end of the recording a tram tries to force its way, using his bell for a looong time. Soundman okm microphones, a3 adapter (with the filter on)into sony pcm-d50.

Sound synthesis made from chuck programming language. The model is a connection from an impulse generator to 40 digital filters to 40 delay linesand set feedback between each delay lines. Each delay lines's delay time and cutoff frequency is random. But there was an error in the calculation and the output value overflows. And this create a chaotic behavior in this sample. - - -. This one is a smooth rising soundwith alternating digital aliasing resonances at the end.

Warning! this is an extremely unpleasant sound if you're a headphone user. You know that noise from chrono trigger when lavos cries out as it breaks out of the ground, or in dragon ball z, toward the end(yeah right) of the fight between frieza and goku, when the lightning storms begin as planet namek is breaking up. Like a cross between an earthquake and a lightning strike. Yeah, that sound. This is the result of me trying(and failing?) to make that happen with soundforge's fm synthesis.

I made this by playing a piccolino recorder and then adding reverb to it. There was a loop ready-made in garage-band that i used as a model but then changed it because i didn't want it to loop. I added flourishes so that it ends. This is the intro for an audio book i am recording but since i created the sound, i can share it. I would be happy if anyone else wanted to use it. No need to give credit etc.

You know that high pitch beep you hear after something super loud, like an explosion? here's a five second effort to reproduce that sound. It fades out towards the end like the person either comes back to themselves or passes out. There's probably some on freesound already but i couldn't find them so i just made my own in audacity.

Starting a two-stroke chainsaw and reving it, then killing it. Recorded in stereo at 24 bit 96 khz with a sony pcm m-10. Here are the bells of our local town church of eglisau in eglisau switzerland as they strike 12 noon on august 23 2019. At the end of the recording you can just hear the children playing at the nearby school. 96khz 24bit stereo.

Wind recorded at the end of 2016 in canary islands. Strong wind (thanks to the mountain), but it was recorded on the other side of a house and it wasn't that strong in that moment. This is a series of sounds created for spitfire audio's make music day 2020 #spitfiremmd2020 it is a plastic drum, a springy pot rack and a big metal chip bin. Field-recording of a person walking home at night on a road, summer, the sound of footsteps on dry gravel. This recording is edited down from the longer recording in this pack. I reduced it down to footsteps on gravel, removed the car passing sounds, and removed the gate sounds at the end. This recording is 1 minute and 44 seconds long, 18. 4 mb wav file.

This is a version of a previous file i created (https://freesound. Org/people/funwithsound/sounds/394897/)that includes a gong at the end to make it more dramatic. It would be really nice of you to credit the user "veiler" for their awesome gong sound, and maybe me for making the failure sound. But no obligations. :-). While perusing freesound for a nice and dramatic sound or two of failures, all the ones i've seen were pretty wimpy, so-to-speak. So i decided to create a few failure samples on a music-making program called musescore. These are for big whopper failures (or "epic failures") and are very dramatic - they may also be used for a scary event in a film or play. It includes a short buildup and a loud dissonant chord at the end to create suspense and horror. For this project i used violins, violas, cellos, double basses, timpani, cymbals and brass. Enjoy!.

This sound was recorded via the use of a behringer b2 microphone, fostex fr2 and a home made parabolic reflector made from a tv satellite dish. The source of the sound was between 100m-200m away from the microphone. This has been eq'ed with high-end shelving to reduce gain noise, low-end shelved up to 1khz (to reduce wind and background noise) and the overall gain has been increased. This was recorded from my windowsill facing onto a tarmac driveway in august 2012. There is the occasional tinkling sound of raindrops hitting a metal gate, some traffic noise, the occasional bit of thunder, and some shouts of people getting wet. At the end, raindrops start falling onto the recorder. This is fairly heavy rain by oxford standards; we probably get something like this only a couple of times a year. This fall turned into hail a bit later. Recorded with a marantz pmd661.

All i did is that i recorded and played a little riff on my violin with my ipad, and then add some reverb, and delay effects in audacity. (very eerie-like, but pretty). This kind of reverb used in the beginning and end of the riff is a cathedral room-like sound, and a few seconds of delay. I used mostly double-stops during the riff. Enjoy.

This clip is a short walk from a walking path heading out to shollenberger wetlands in petaluma, ca. The path is a short diversion into a small wooded area leading to a creek that was rushing pretty heavily due to a recent rainfall. There is a small waterfall making rushing sounds in the creek where the recording ends. The person steps on a log, and breaks a twig on the way to the water's edge.

I recorded this with my yamaha pocketrak at the paramount theater in seattle on feb. 29th, 2016 with one track duplication. This is the applause for stewart copeland and the seattle rock orchestra. Copeland scored the music for the silent version of 'ben hur' and the show was great as you can hear from the final applause. Another of the recordings i did on my phone at work of a steel cable at tension between phone poles. Hitting it with a wrench and making laser sounds. Cleaned up in audacity as the other one was. One is better than the other but can't remember which one i liked the best. Use as you please. If you use it for something and have the time to tell me where it ended up, that's cool. Running water into a bathtub. The faucet is audibly turned on and off at the beginning and end. The temperature of the water is tested at several intervals resulting in some variation to the water sound. Individual drips can be heard after the water is turned off. Take 2 of 2. Originally recorded for a short film where one of the characters takes an off-screen bath. Recorded (if i remember correctly) with a sennheiser mkh-416 microphone into a sound devices 302 mixer.

A mostly mellow recording of the streets around east village, new york city. Recorded on thanksgiving '22 so the streets were a lot more empty than usual. By the way, the reverb you hear at the end of the clip is the natural reverb off the surrounding buildings of a woman who was talking quite loudly - she was around the corner from where i was standing.

This morning i woke up to the sound of a city crew jackhammering concrete just outside my window. I grabbed my h2 and recorded for a while. This file is an edit of the full recording. It contains two bursts of jackhammering, one fairly short and one longer. The background noise is the sound of the air compressor. Toward the end the compressor is turned off and the last of the pressure is released by the jackhammer as it sort of "putters out". This last bit is a bit unique.

A recording of an entire journey on the london underground (jubilee line) but could pass as any subway/metro if you remove the train announcements. The recording begins at the top of escalators, travels to the platform, boards the train, then covers the whole journey, getting out of the train, and ascending the escalators at the other end.

This is the 1st sound i uploaded online in like four years. I'm shocked no one uploaded a sound like this prior 2020! it was made using layering of crackling sounds, deep drum for base, chain sound effect, and of course a nice swoosh. The end result is a sound that is very crunchy and powerful. Feel free to use it for commercial use, like video games or movies, no credit is necessary yet is always appreciated. Blood gushing fall to concrete floor; created by pouring a water/corn syrup mixture onto my foley artist's arm over a concrete drain. Towards the end you can hear my foley artist start laughing because the mixture was splashing everywhere lol. . . Still a great clip and we used it in a horror slasher film to simulate blood gush from a stabbing.

Blood quickly escaping an open artery. (actually just me squeezing the hell out of a grapefruit). Begins with a steady spray, then ends in several loud spurts. More blood/gore fx coming soon-ish. Recorded in a studio with a sennheiser 416, very close proximity. < 1' away. Through an mbox directly into protools, edited to remove head/tail ambience. You might hear me breathing in there, very low.

At 03:27 (-02:13) guys start the car and it makes noices to the end. Ambience in small town with background noices:people talking in polish language, cars, birds, dogs. In some moments could be heard music from nearby event. Recorded by zoom h5 stereo mic 48khz 24 bit.

Japanese traffic in the summer: passing cars and tracks and some motorcycles, cicadas, recorded with iphone, nearby crossroad of the six-lane road and a large park in tokyo. First 40 seconds is crossing the six-lane road. From 54 seconds cars in the six lanes start to come toward me and pass by. At the end of the audio, the signal turns to red again. Pedestrians cannot cross this road.

A singular comedic mosquito buzz. Created in audacity by:1. Generating a sawtooth wave2. Equalizing the tone slightly (a bit less high end)3. Applying the vibrato-phase. Ny plugin in pairs like: 5. 1, 5. 2, 8. 1, 8. 2, 0. 5, 0. 51 hz5. Applying a ring modulation plugin in a similar way. If you want something more retro, equalize down the higher frequencies.

At first, the cars pass through in front of the school. And then, the people were talking around and pass by us when we went through the school-yard. We walked up the stairs and pass through the playground, we heard children playing basketball. We heard the balls hit the ground and the children screaming and shouting. Beside that, there was a sound of repairing near the terrace. At the end, we arrived canteen and we heard the students talking.

This was a happy accient. I was charging a drone battery though an adapter with overvoltage protection, which started beeping and increasing in frequency as the battery got close to full charge. There is a good bit of sound at the end, when i pulled off the battery and the capacitors in the charger discharged. :). Have fun with it! if you want, let me know what you did with it. Cheers!. A browning hi-power handgun being cocked. Includes 5 takes, 3 mid-tempo ones and 2 fast ones at the end. This is a kind of dull, soft laser bolt or gun blast. Or perhaps just some sort of impact sound. I thought it was interesting, because what it really is made up of is the sound of me shuffling my cell phone around for a second. How it ended up sounding like this i don't know. But perhaps someone has an application for the use of this sound. Enjoy.

The sound of a hand moving over a fabric and then ending up on trousers. I made it for a scene where a man moves his hands from a table cloth and puts them on his legs. Might also be used for scenes with bags, pillows, on a bed etc. Feel free to use without giving credit.
