I've been recording some sounds for a an upcoming project which led me to recording the underside of the lid of a salad spinner and dangling a small plastic tab on it as it spun. It wasn't my intention but it sounds a bit like an old film projector. You can get some interesting results with this clip by messing a bit with the eq which is what i'll be doing for the finished project. This recording was made using a sound devices mixpre6ii and a stereo pair of fel em172 mics. Low cut on the sd which in basic mode is 80hz (i think). There is no processing to this recording other than to ‘normalize’ the levels. I do not require any credit or attribution. This is a machine i recorded from a lab that designs water meters, and other water movement equipment. It actually has nothing to do with breathing, but we joked that it had a vader like quality to it. Enjoy!.

Here is me running across the floor. It is quieter in the beginning of the "run pass" and gets louder then fades again to simulate distance. I did multiple passes so you will probably need to edit it based on what you want to do with it.

Around 15 minutes of a fireworks show i went to. You can hear many different types of fireworks go off, with crackling, explosions, bangs, booms, etc. In this. There are people and kids talking and laughing in the background throughout many parts due to this being a public event, which may be good or bad depending on what you would like to use this for. The fireworks were not very far away, which means that they do sound close. I even got covered in some ash during the experience. You do not need to credit me for this sound, use it how you like.

I switched on and off an old tape recorder. You can hear hum noise like an early synthesizer. The reason why it makes such noise is not sure, but that's the most important part of analog devices. Computer software cannot do that.
