Cricket ball bouncing on a bat: sounds like a constant knocking on a door but has a slight ting at the end of each bounce. Recorded using the zoomh4n and using the rode ntg1 condenser shotgun microphone. No processing has been done to this sound. The bat used in the sound is a kookaburra kahuna 150 english willow and the ball was a bellingham & smith 135g match cricket ball.

A plate was placed on a table with a very small height gap so that it vibrated when flipped with a finger. Produces a sound similar to a ruler pushed down on a table, flipped and pulled onto the table. It's a bit difficult to describe but if you hear it, you see what i mean and i'm sure you've done it as well. . ;).

It's that couple again. On this day of them, it seems like they were trying to keep the noises down, but the female can still be heard. The man is same as usual. You can hear them having a conversation after they were done. The clip is cut short and edit. Some parts are silenced. Some background noises couldn't be removed all the way.

A science fiction, space age sliding door noise made for my sci fi sitcom accidentally reckless. I think this one was made from me making a 'tsch' noise but then with lots of other things done to it afterwards. I think it worked ok (much better than than the one i made out of me making 'zzzz' noises.

An ambient sort of sound done by doodling around in photosounder. Using the white spray with the harmonics on i drew two squiggly lines across the image horizontally, then flipped the image 90 degrees counter-clockwise, then with a wide dark brush i darkened some areas of the image to make the sound progress for a narrow band continuous noise to a full bandwidth squiggly kind of noise.

Walyunga is a haven of peace and tranquility just outside of perth. It's one of my favourite hikes in the area, as it's only a couple of hours long and combines proximity to water, a bit of a climb, stunning views of perth's skyline, solitude, and gorgeous flora and fauna. Futuristic mechshop atmosphere created inside flstudio with filtered white noise generators, flstudio wasp, pitch envelopes, channel gain automation plus lashings of reverb for effect. Each one of the nonsensical announcements at the start are entirely synthetic. They're text to speech, done on-the-fly, with pre-fader pitch modulation embedded in automation track. No synths were harmed in the making of this cacophany.

A very low frequency tone/drone made with the studiofactory software synth. It's a cross-mod of the perlin tone generator with a formant generator. My vcr rewinding a vhs tape. Sounds pretty gnarly at the end. Recorded with a jm27 into my zoom h4n. As a side note, this sound was a real pain to record. Every time i set up the mic, it seemed like the ac would come on, the dog would bark, or some other sound would ruin the recording. Whatever, i got it done.

A quick normalization gave a nice, rich signal that you might be able to use for any purpose. Apply a low pass filter to cut out the rain. Well, enjoy. :). More of this will be uploaded.

Water recorded walking in notodden october 3rd 2017. Recording done in static mode and dynamic mode, while standing, walking towards, beside and leaving the running water. The water source was curving beside the road and under a bridge, fading away. Intensity, rythm and acoustic of water and drops changing according to movements of road and body. Mono recording with rode nt1000. It's done indoors, by the window, with the window open, pointing outside. In the first plane you'll have birds (portugal), then mild rain and some far away thunder. Some thunders are closer, pretty clear and loud. Be ware for some of my movement sounds, you may need to edit.

I was at a human trafficking conference and to thank the people the first nations people of the area sang this song for a long time brushing the participants with cedar boughs and smudging. I caught about half of the singing and drumming. It was done in a large lunch room with about 100 people attending in the late afternoon. I recorded the sound with my lumix fz200. Location was in surrey british columbia.

This is a sound i created specifically for a video a made a while back. It is heavily distorted, meant to sound like punches/blows to something or someone - sort of ip-man style. The original recording was done by repeatedly tapping a table with my fingers, so if you want to create something similar but without the distortion, think in that direction.

About the possibilities of what can be done with the human voice in a recording studio. What you hear in these remixes is twice treated: first, by matt stevenson at the eris temple in philly in '06; secondly, by zenboy1955 from the cc mixter crew in cali in 2021.
