Field-recording of a forest in marata. Some birds sounds and dogs barking can be heard in the distance. Recorded with my mobile phone with a shure mv88 on july 2015. Captured on my zoom h4n. I open the door and the wind noise get louder. Around :50 it really starts to gust. There is a dog bark in the distance around 1:12. There is a little mic rumble throughout. I had it covered with a windshield and was standing just inside the door frame to try to prevent additional rumble. No need to credit. Use it as you would like.

I believe i recorded these with a sound devices 702 and a neumann rsm 191 stereo shotgun. They are long car bys on a quiet road. Lots of distance to my left and right so you get some nice long singular car bys. Maybe one or two instances with a multi car pass. The roads were wet when this recording was done.

The ever-present insects are there, but overshadowed by the peepers. 13 seconds in a dog barks off in the distance and the echo is just incredible. 24 seconds into the recording is the classic call of the red-wing blackbird. A recording of my bathroom ventilation fan shutters clicking in the breeze. The fan is not on so you can hear birds in the distance, and the wind in the tube-shaped fan chamber. When the wind blows it catches the plastic shutters and they rattle and click. Recorded very close to the fan with two dynamic microphones, there is virtually no bathroom ambience detectable. I left my zoom h4n on a table under a roof on the back yard paving to capture a massive thunderstorm. Lots of rain. Lots of thunder. It starts in the distance and then comes over the house - a big storm. Some door noises at the start and some bird noises and a car driving by and a bus in there as well. But generally mainly rain and thunder.

This is a nightingale in a very quiet environment, which is played 4 times slower. The gaps between the verses are removed, otherwise there would be always round about 20 seconds silence. The reverb is natural (no sound effects added), but sounds epic after slow downed with factor 4. The original 96khz/24bit-track was recorded with zoom f8 by using four rode nt1. Recording distance to the nightingale was 5-6 meter. ;-).

Sound from near my flat (great barr birmingham uk) at around 4am. There are various bird sounds within this file aswell as being able to hear the m6 motorway in the distance (i did try to accent this by pointing the mic in different directions). This clip was recorded in august 2021 during the evening in a platform near the beach in le grazie, la spezia, italy. You can hear the sounds of the waves clashing with the platform, the people walking around, cicadas in the distance and also the sound of the boats navigating into the port.
