Genuine stomache gurgle :. In todays dialog edit it seems it was close to lunchtime when they were shooting this scene, i had to cut out this gigantic gugle as it wasnt needed,. Actually i thought it was me as i'm kinda hungry too. Bon appetite!.

It's a recording of a man operating a chainsaw in a forest near an underground repair station. I've been biking through the forest whe i heard the chainsaw, so i stopped and recorded 7 minutes of him cutting off branches, tembers and walking around a bit. You can heat the chainsaw, natural forest reverb, sometimes a plane flying by or an undergroud train. The recording was made from around 20~30 meters from the sound source. Recorded with a zoom h2 (rear mics, hi gain, 96/24). Originally a 96khz / 24-bit wav file. Converted to flac using audacity.

Free drone. Recorded using homemade contact microphones. The os-xx samples consist of different recordings of fans, fridges, espressomachines, etc. The sounds are pretty raw, i added reverb, and cut some sub. I can, on request hand out the raw recordings. Enjoy.

This is the sound of paper being cut on a paper cutter (like at kinko's). I created this with a zoom h5n and the wind guard from a shotgun mic. I brushed the wind guard against the built-in x-y zoom mics. See my "paper cutter-stereo" if you want it in stereo.

That couple that lives next door. They are still doing what they do, but it seems like they no longer make the noise loud anymore. I can barely hear them. Either they decided to keep it down or that woman is no longer a screamer in bed. Note that most of the audio was amplified, edited, and cut short.

August, 2nd 2013. About eight and a half minutes worth of summer evening ambience, with crickets and cicadas leading the evening songs. Nothing too eventful, but a nice finish to a great day. Recorded at 48khz, 24 bit. Stereo pair of behringer c-2s (cardioid). The mics have an on-board 3-position switch, with labels "flat," "low-cut," and "-10db. " the switch was set in the -10db position (whoops!). It is unclear if this position also activates the low-cut. Additionally, a 24db/oct low-cut applied in pro-tools at 80hz to clean up a slight wind ruffle. Since it was late at night, and the rest of the family was in bed, i opened my window and placed the microphones (almost) right up against the screen. The a/c unit you can hear is directly below the window. Around the 4:45 mark, the digital thermostat hit a programming mark and kicked the air conditioner back on. Two small blades sliding over each other. The sound is made by using two small kitchen knifes however, try pitching it down to -12 semitones and further for a sword-like sound. The noise of the recording is gated so it still comes through a little on the decay.

I didn't see which bird this was as i was recording a video and kept the clip for this audio. I have cut the volume of a passing car. The bird singing maybe a blackbird, possibly blue tit, robin comes to mind or a starling which do imitate other birds.
