German children crying most of the time, men speaking, cars passing slowly, soft rain about the middle of the recording, siren and church bell at the end. A pair of owls stationed themselves outside my half-basement bedroom window in colorado early this morning around 12am. Unfortunately i only had my phone to capture them with, but it still turned out alright, save for the periodic vox-like breaks when silencing background noise. The hoot is obvious as to the source, but i'm unsure about the screech/cry that occurs with equal frequency. Is it the response of a mate? or just the yip of a curious neighbor dog?. Recorded with the stock application on my lg g3 phone and encoded to mp3 using the "video to mp3" app.

I believe this to be a weasel, but it could have been a river otter, asthe only part of the animal i saw was the snout down a dark hole. Theanimal was amidst the riprap at the end of our garden, and beingtormented by two neighbourhood dogs. I shooed the dogs away, but theanimal continued to shriek for some time. I have this in wav format if anyone requires it, but i'm sending the mp3 because the original is 26mb long and i'm on dialup. ===fyi - i saw an animal swimming in the river a few days later, and am 98. 5% certain it was a river otter. =====2007-09-07ok. My biologist wife and i have come to the conclusion that it's an american mink (mustela vison). Poor little guy.

It was a very uncommon, one-of-a-kind situation. You wind up somewhere you didn't intend and still sober, but someone is drunk enough, to not only drop his pants and to assume the position, but to be bound there. I was sure he would never know who pressed the button, testicles that i never asked to see were right there and i just couldn't resist. I didn’t think it made contact because i didn’t make ‘em move. Pressing the button, however, did. I know i wasn't the last to do it either, but i was already on my way out the door. Probably wasn't his best night. The file is named after the abused end. This is a recording i made on sunday november 4th 2012 of the gentle, droning sounds of insects that were singing in a marshy area near the shore of a small lake. This is a very typical ambiance of autumn in the southern portion of illinois. If you listen carefully, you'll hear another very typical fall sound, the cry of blue jays in the heavy woods which surround this lake. One of my favorite sound-scapes. I made this with my rugged and dependable handy zoom h4n recorder, using its built-in microphones. I literaly had it sitting on a small log only about 15 feet from the water's edge. Because the insects were not very loud, i did have to crank up my record volume to 86 on the scale of 100; this means you will hear a little bit of slight wind rumble, but all-in-all i think the recording paints a good picture of the early autumn landscape and everything slows down and winds down for the bitter winter ahead. Recorded with tascam dr-07mkii. While on holiday staying in a country cottage near some cow fields, there was a mother cow and what must have been her 2 calves which had been put into separate fields either side of a road. This was obviously pretty distressing for the cows and so they were constantly mooing at each other and being the kind of guy i am, of course i recorded it!. I have done as much as i can to reduce wind and other background noises (the windshield i have for my dr-07 doesn't seem to do a lot except make it look like it's got a 70s afro) and have trimmed all the cow sounds out and put them together into this one file. Some are better than others, it was hard to know which cow was gonna make a noise next. Free to use for anything, if you use it, would be cool if you let us know where in the comments, be interesting to see where they end up :).
