Recorded this on an afternoon in the fall of 2014 at a buddhist monastery in a small coastal town outside bangkok, derived from video taken by a samsung galaxy s3. At prayer time, the monks assemble and one monk leads with a microphone. This recording reflects the somewhat tinny eq of that sound system, and also includes some dimly-heard background noise from the outside environment (e. G. , passing vehicles).

Main street in tourist costal city of dziwnówek in west poland. It's typical for cities like that: full of cheesy market stands. The game of coin-football, which you can hear ringing constantly in the background is also characteristic for polish coastal tourist areas. Many people (talking mostly polish language), and several cars are passing by. I am standing on pavement, and have thestreet in front of me and backside of supermarket behind me. I'm back with another binaural. I am attempting to capture the sounds that remind me of the places i have visited. This is a recording of fuertaventura, in the canary islands, on a pebble beach the morning after a big wave swell. The rocks being moved by the sea are at least as big as footballs, and the waves are 8-12ft. I upgraded my binaural mics to roland cs-10em from my homemade ones. I'm happy if you can notice the difference. I like that they are combined mics and earphones with little windbooms. Files are recorded in:24-bit 96khz. Wav. They are as big and as high quality as i can make. Please comment :).

As these are recorded using binaural in-ear mics, i purposefully don't turn my head to keep the sound clean and coming from the same direction. The amtrak pacific surfliner winds it'd way up and down the pacific coast coast. This train is known for spectacular coastal views. Here you can hear this high-speed train come screaming through burbank's downtown station (traffic can be heard on i-5 in the distance). You will hear a security guard walk behind me just before the train comes through. He was one of our trusty transpo officers making sure i wasn't up to no good with my zoomh4n device.
