This jump scare sound was created by playing 2 dissonant chords on a single coil telecaster mic'd up w/ a vox ac 10 amp. The two guitar tracks are panned left and right- reverb and delay are added. The delay tail you can hear oscillates between left and right speaker as it fades. Additionally, frequency enhancers were added between 4khz - 6khz which adds a higher tonal energy in the upper range of the guitar. Gain is added which can be heard as signal noise mostly at the end of the clip. Enjoy. Bainmack.

It's a recording of me taking some vitamin pills (3xrutinoscorbin). You can hear me taking the box, opening it, pulling out the blister, poping out the pills, putting the blister back into the box, closing the box, throwing it away, taking the pills into my mouth, taking a glass of water, dringing water, swallowing pills, putting the glass on the table, and breathing out. There is much background noise, bu it's static and i leaved a clear sample so you can denoise this. Recorded with a zoom h2 into ardour daw. Originally 4800khz/16-bit wav. Converted to flac with ardour.

Got a group of about 8 people to say "hey!" a few times. Layered all the takes, compressed, and added a touch of reverb. I've used this one a bunch in my own songs. Sometimes, to achieve a convincing gang vocal effect, when i don't have a gang, you can sing your line a few times, and then layer this "hey" under each syllable, and you can get a pseudo-gang vocal. Works in a pinch if your mix is dense enough. I'd love if you'd credit joshua scott or rjc studios if you use this sample, but don't sweat it if you don't. Good artists borrow, great artists steal.

Going outside to check the mail. I go out the inner door and close it, you can hear the weather stripping dragging the floor, then go out the outer door onto the porch. I go over and check the neighbor's mail to take up to her later, then check our own, then go back into the apartment where you can hear the tv. A suspenseful sting with a lot of bass. Gave it a scifi feel with the flanger. Made for the audience to feel foreboding or suspense during the scene. Can be paired with an object or character to give the audience negative feelings towards who or what's on screen. Acid bass: 110 bpm c2 note, not your typical saw/square basslines. High sweeping filters in parallel with lfo routed to certin parts sampled in ableton using massive, compression using psp compressor2 and psp warmer. Random presets, and very little other effects used, mostly so this sample can be re-sampled. 110 bpm so it can be pitched up which is usually better then having to pitch samples down. Used a mini mod filter and tuned it up slowly so you can cut out the wanted pitch, switch daw to 120bpm to cut it preciselyenjoy.

There was a dry thunderstorm 10 km far away from the dictaphone this dawn (27th of may 2014). You can hear crickets and dogs barking in the distance as well. Recorded in nighttime by sony stereo dictaphone.

Walking a dog in a small forest park in a nice summer warm dry weather. Mainly you can hear footsteps, birds, sometimes the (midsized) dog going by and breathing. Rarely cars in distance. Very calm quiet track, the dog doesnt bark. Its more relaxing.

Ocean waves crashing onto the beach at three distances, close, near, far. There is a little automobile rumble in the background for the "near" and "far" section. In the "close" section you can hear the water being absorbed into the sand.

Field recording made near open air swimming pool in poznań, poland, before noon. Mainly children's voices can be heard, but also people passing-by and some cars and other city sounds. Unfortunately, wind blows were sommetimes strong.

Free drone. Recorded using homemade contact microphones. The os-xx samples consist of different recordings of fans, fridges, espressomachines, etc. The sounds are pretty raw, i added reverb, and cut some sub. I can, on request hand out the raw recordings. Enjoy.

A passing grocery cart corralling machine used in parking lots to assist with returning buggies to the store. The presumably electric motor and slight jiggle of the metal carts can be heard. Sound is loopable.

Two small mechanical sirens recorded with a h2 recorder in a factory building. One siren is very close, the other in a remote place. You can also hear the sound of a door and ambient noise.

This is probably one of the best snares i have made yet. Hard transient, tape saturated, and squashed to bits, when played with very bright sounds and heavy bass, this really can handle it, and cut through.

A fan with an interesting scrambling pattern. It's amazingly loud! some footsteps and other "dirt" can also be heard, but this gives some contrast to how loud the fan actually is. Field recording from helsinki, finland. Check the geotag!.

That sound represent a cat who is playing with my camera, lucking that. So, we have some bass amplification,gear who goes fast and tempo who goes fast as well. Because of that we can get a noise of "shot" of my camera.

Yeah, it's so screwed up you can barely tell it was from that sample. That ringing in the back is a stretched and pitched piece of the same sample. I was trying to make a dub loop, but this is what i got. Really freaky.

Ice rink skating in februari 2012 on a sunny day. Multiple recordings of skaters passing by. Unexperienced children as well as semi-pros can be heard passing by from right to left. Recorded in annen, the netherlands with a zoom h2 recorder.

You can hear a peace of paper being crumpled by hands. This sound was recorded using a zoom h4 recording device at the upf campus in a corridor from tallers in barcelona. We added a fade in and out effect.

A short recording of a church bell. This bell sound was recorded on march 4th 2017 using my iphone 6. It was taken outside the chiesa della trasfigurazione church. I tried to clean the tourists sound as much as i can using waves plugins in protools 12.

First test recording smashing bottles, mic levels were too high and it peaked. It sounded neat with the distortion so i thought i'd share. It's unedited, so you can hear people moving and laughing before and after the smash.

This is two slabs of concrete , one on top of the other, and scraped together. In this sample i have changed the rate to give it a 'bigger slab' effect. You can also add reverb and play with the rate yourself for more dramatic effect.
