To create this sound i hit an apple with a pair of scissors in my bedroom. It sounds as if someone is being hit over the head with a hammer - i created it as foley for a student film for this purpose. To record i used my sontronics stc-10 microphone and my audiobox interface running pro tools from my mac at 48khz, 16 bit.

110 bpm, c notes, middle c, with a 1/4 wobble, half as sine, half as sawtooth descending, with random sounds and filters. Compressed a bit to give ti the full sound. Useful for games or music.

Walyunga is a haven of peace and tranquility just outside of perth. It's one of my favourite hikes in the area, as it's only a couple of hours long and combines proximity to water, a bit of a climb, stunning views of perth's skyline, solitude, and gorgeous flora and fauna. Recorded in an almost empty train on a fairly even route section at a quite constant velocity, sitting in a cabin for six passengers with five empty seats, compartment door closed at around 8 pm. Recorded with a portable stereo recorder (zoom) set to 96000 hz and 24 bit.

Using a finger and a small blackroll tube, i recorded a few plopps with a rode nt-usb mini and the rode podcast recording software. Noise gate and compression were turned on at the time of recordings. For me, it sounds a little bit like a cork popping from a bottle, but it has a richer sound, somewhat overdoing it. . . Good for sfx though.

This was recorded at a wedding and celebration party afterward. Several hundred people talking in a very large room. It should be random enough to be used for most any situation where one needs ambient crowd noise. This was recorded directly from the on board mic of a full hd camera that uses acvhd. What you are listening to was rendered off at 48hz and 16 bits.

Here is another night of that couple next door. They were active for around 25 minutes. Sounds like they had a really good night. The recorded audio of this was over two hours long and edit down to this length. Many of their conversations before they you know and after they finished were excluded out. At 2:32, sounds like the woman said "wanna go ahead,. . . "starting around at 3:45 was when they probably began to have their fun in bed, but there were still bits of soft chit chat between the couple. At 13:25 is when there are bits of moans coming from the woman. At 14:50 is when the rising action really begins. At 25:00 was when their fun was coming to an end, and you should be able to hear some of the noises from the guy. For those who just want the good parts of the audio: 13:25-25:56.

Several spitting noises recorded with the aim of getting a realistic sound and nothing besides spitting. I actually spit (not dry spitting) into a plastic bag. The impact on the plastic bag can be heard, but it isn't too bad. The first half is p-spitting and the second half is t-spitting (shape mouth is held in). A little bit of horking and squishing as well. Recorded with a shure sm58 in a treated room.

Raw sampled xlive. Exe on a hungarian windows 7 64-bit computer using audacity. The reason why it's only 11khz in frequency range is becaue 44 100 hz makes the sample too high pitched. Also had to make it mono because most of the sound was pushed to the right.

This is a soundscape from the crossing between streets joana tonello and mario morassutti, in bento gonçalves, south of brasil. This point articulates residential and industrial areas, so you can hear some heavy trucks intervening in a rather silent soundscape (5:00 am, so very few people are awake). 41. 000hz 16 bit stereo audio recording.

Made with a butt ton of reverberation decay, modifications to high dampening and the layering of many swishing knifes together to create a suspenseful sound effect. The application of this sound could be used for the penultimate release of something utter horrifying to be revealed on screen, chase scenes or simply an underscore/tension builder for the now victims of a monstrosity coming at them for a bit of a nibble.

Jokes on you! thats not a real bird. It was in fact my mouth that made the noise. Well technically i made a weird noice into the mic, then i only kept the high pitched sounds and with a little bit of editing. So yeah, it is my mouth but not the raw sound. I'm not that good. If you could tell that it wasn't a bird from the start then you get the prize of downloading this sound :).

Several very satisfying pops of large plastic bubble packing. Not bubble wrap, these ones are much large, about 20x as big. They are more like small balloons. Some nice crackling plastic rustling sounds in there too, why not. The first one is a bit hot, but i turned down the mic for the other ones.

Recording of a pair of oven mitts being hit together. Might be useful in a game as an inventory sound. Recorded using a blue yeti microphone at 16-bit 44100hz in audacity. Used audacity's noise removal filter to to remove background noise. For this file, i isolated the samples i liked and left a small gap of silence between them for separation later. bruxxing is when a rodent grinds its teeth. Sometimes it can be quite loud. It may seem like a sign of aggression, but it's actually their way of showing they are content. My boys will often brux for lengths of time, but unfortunately i could only catch this little bit. Also, they do this thing called "boggling," which is when their eyes seem to be popping from their sockets. As strange as it looks, it means they're really happy.
