An imitation of an australian police siren using synthesizer and a big outdoor-style reverb. The siren consists of two oscillators, one of them loops at 4bars at 115bpm. The other is approx 14 times faster. They both move in same approximate freq range from approx f#5 up to g#6, about an octave.

A long echoing foghorn sound, made by blowing into a 10-foot-long pvc pipe in a fairly big, empty room. This is the best of the foghorn sounds i recorded. I think it sounds surprising like a real foghorn in the distance. Nice long reverb/decay after the main sound is over.

General rubbing sounds i made by messing around with a facemask, unedited all in one big file with enough space to adequately edit them. Could be used for bandages, general rubbing. Just get creative with it. Feel free to use anywhere. I dont mind, just thought i'd be useful.

A big carton board was held by two people, and then shaken to produce the deep rumbling sound. Various ways of shaking and holding it, resulted in a very close thunder sound. A zoom h6 recorder, with the xy capsule was used to record it, inside of a classroom.

Some bells - first played one by one, then some clusters. The bells were part of an art installation from yougoslavian artist stipo pranyko, who was having a retrospective at tea, in santa cruz de tenerife. This was recorded in the big halls of the museum, that's why there's so much reverb. Recorded with a zomm h4 n.

Opening a big loft door from the ceiling and unfold the wooden ladder. Climbing slowly upstairs and downstairs, folding the ladder again and closing the squeaky door. A second version of climbing upstairs width man shoes is included at the end.

Hitting an old, empty oil drum lost in some old woods in various ways (on my palm, knuckle, with a stick, etc) to make different deep bass noises. Natural reverb since it was in a large open space.

Here, i manipulate the envelope filter twice. First, a recorded loop, of my vintage teisco60's 70's don't remember anymore, doesn't matterguitar, i found for 90 euro at an online rommelmarktlet's say. . . I put the envelope filter so that it 'just' triggerson the peaks of my audio file. . . Oww yeah !!!. The second time i trigger the envelope filter, is wheni play live on top of the recorded loop, i'm playing on purposepercussive, a coup of my hand with an immediate attack, toeven further more let the filter open & because of the amazinggrainy low-frequency based russian sovtek big muff the filtergrowls even more. . . On top of the just percussive behavior, i playof course an harmonic, content related sequence, feeling that the loopwhile being in an odd measure, already is repeating itself , the liveplaying, contrastwise, makes variation in texture & harmonic/melodice content. . . The cricket is in northeast china very popular in summer fields. This sound is from my feeding pet a green big one in winter and it's named winter cricket by the artificial breeding technology. There lot of people like to feed cricket for listenning and enjoy it's in beijing china for long time ago. It's fun in the lifetime.

In 's-hertogenbosch in holland we have carnival every year. This is a recording in the centre of the city. A recording of several 'dweilorkesten' that is a band that plays musing in the street. 'literal' translation is 'mop band or mopping band'. The go trough the streets like someone mopping the floor. This recording at the market-place is made with hundreds of people around. The ambience here is totally different from other places in the town and the world. It complete different than the south american carnival. Recorded: march 7th 2011, markt, 's-hertogenbosch, holland. First it's a big-sounding piece with strings, guitars and a lot of sounds with delay. The other bit is more "naked" with the bass coming thru. Think it would work as an intro to anything. Dubstep beat programmed with caustic 3 and mixed with ableton. 4 bars at 150 bpm big kick with snappy snare. Reverse snare and reverse spacey crash for extra effect. Busy hi hat pattern. Some gentle eq and mix compression and reverb and slight delay on hats and reverse effects. Ready to go.

I don't know the details (like male / female, barn, tawny, big, little etc) but this fella started hooting the tother day so loud we could hear him/her indoors. The recording was done straight from my samsung galaxy phone. Slight amplification applied but otherwise raw.

Trying so hard to alleviate the boredom. Synths are cool. I tried to make a sound to emulate the slim phatty poly/multiosc. Moog that i saw earlier, it's nowhere near as big and beautiful but it helped pass some time. Like champagne on a beer budget, it's just what might be.
