This is something i made with audacity using the generate>risset drum option. After i generated one long risset drum, i made a short one below it, copied it & added a delay to the track with the short decay risset drum. After that, i just leveled everything a couple times. :).

Opened tracks and added new stereo track using audacity, generated brownian noise with. 9 amplitude and applied equalization effect removing all frequencies below 30hz and above 80hz to -120db, applied bass and treble effect increasing output volume 5db, applied limiter effect using soft limit and limit to -5db with a 20ms hold to remove spikes.

Forest ambience with a strong wind blowing through the trees. Distant birds and creaking tree trunks make for a long, placid ambient listen. Recorded on zoom h1n, 24- bit, 48k but reduced to 16-bit, 48k and lossless flac compression for file size. Cleaned up a couple wind pops and filtered below 100 hz in izotope rx.

Quiet time of day, recorder placed in cardboard box in a cupboard and covered with clothing. As in title and file info, low cut 40hz, 16 bit, 44. 1 khz. I didn't see any point in going below a 70% gain level as it's not too bad at those levels.

I blasted up the lower freqs, kept the mid-range close to 0, then from 5-16 khz went back way up, slowly tapering down to below zero for the highest frequencies. Most people got off the freeways quickly and tried to protect their homes from water damage. This recording was recorded with a zoomh4npro (2018) set at 120 degree field-pattern mode. The zoom was placed on a tripod facing out a 3rd floor window into a dead-end alleyway below. This recording is great atmospheric sound. The water can be heard trickling off spanish tile rooftops and dripping from overflowing terracotta pots. From the passing cars on a distant highway, to the occasional cough of a homeless gentleman walking on the street below, this recording is genuine and clean.
