Not gonna explain about this one much. Basicly i just made a simple patch on my virus c hardware synth which consists of 2 osc's (sine / saw), osc2 slightly detuned from the osc1. Fast pitch envelope on both osc's to get the "punch" part in the kick. Ran through virus's lowpass/bandpass filters, lowpass cutting from 100% to 0% with a speed of 1/4 beats to get a "filtering down" effect to the kick, bandpass rejecting slightly frequencies from a range of 400-600hz. Then i sampled it, many times and picked the best sample. Eq->distort->eq->distort million times and this is the result. Ofc i did some cutting and added some lowpass/bandpass filters with various mix levels @ some points and did some other shit also but basicly it's just eq & distort. Hf, its a decent kick but needs some fixing still since the punch is too separate from the bass.

The sound is produced in an enclosed area. The microphone is placed at the bottleneck in order to clearly record a very stereotypical noise. I recorded it with a zoom h4n. I select a part of the recording and created an echo effect with reverberations. This sound can be used in an enclosed area with the goal of focus on it, as a clear mark that something important is being opened or revealed.

Letting water inta an old metal kitchen sink:. - first several times into an empty sink with the drain open - with very audible drops on the metal sink at start and end. - then once filling the sink and draining the filled sink with some gurgling of the drain at the end. I walk from a solid wood floor to a corridor, up a short flight of stairs to another room with a laminated wood floor, then back to the first room. The ambiance changes slightly in the different rooms. I used an sm58 and an irig pro on an ipad using garageband and mastered in cubase.
