And lift off! i made a recording by fluttering a golden spatula from near to far (take off). I managed to get this effect by wiggeling the spatula between my thumb and index finger. This was recorded at open window institute's (gauteng, south africa) sound booth.

Some recordings meant to work as the flapping of bat wings. To record this, i just used a plant with slightly leathery/plastic-sounding leaves and shook it a few times in front of a mic. Simple but effective!.

Clean sound recorded 48khz 24bits with rode nt5 into focusrite 2i2it's a foley made with my underwear ;p.

Used blue snowball to record flapping of thick paper, then sped up and repeated to produce an easily-looped light flapping sound. Originally produced to represent beating fairy wings in an episode of the super legit podcast.

Sound similar to atari's old yar's revenge, with a drone creature fluttering its wings. Much deeper drone than that of a typical fly or bee.

I couldn't find any good giant wings flapping here, so i made my own and am now sharing them so nobody else has to! screw paying for sounds! made from a combination of pizza box lids, sheets, and a bit of sound design. You don't even have to credit me because i mean. . . Who even does that? and why? who's gonna track down a foley artist from the credits of a show for a random sound? just check out the sonic realms podcast if you like audiodramas and role playing games; there's nothing else like it. I fluttered a plastic spatula in front of my tlm-103 in the studio. It's recorded at 96k, 32 bits, so you can stretch it or pitch it any way you want. If you want it to sound small you'll want to filter off the low end. On the other hand, you can probably get some fun gigantic effects by using just the bass, or even pitching it down.
