Portable oil heater being dragged on its plastic wheels across a (slightly gritty) tiled floor. Close mic with tascam dr100. Cleaned up a bit (light compression).
I was playing around with spear (sinusoidal partial editing and resynthesis) after a long absence (still available for free download)and came up with some drones for the upcoming pincushioned album. "enjoy".
I cleaned up the valve sound from https://freesound. Org/people/grotelue/sounds/96935/used audition to do noise reduction and manually edited out the people talking in the background.
Assembled in reason 12. 44hz 16bit 120bpm. This pattern is made to be sliced up. I tried to stay away from eqing the sound so there would be flexibility with post processing.
I used this sample: https://freesound. Org/people/nabz871/sounds/192512/ and cleaned it up with this technique: https://www. Youtube. Com/watch?v=5uagmdkutao and layered it with another kick.
Reupload. Trying to clean this up. This is a back-handed compliment. Aka sarcasm disguised to look like a compliment when really an insult. Mp3, audacity, adobepodcast.
Less than a minute after a cat hauled away a squirrel in its teeth, this squirrel showed up and started calling. A distraught squirrel barking for its missing mate.
Close up perspective of a fan, starting, rattling, stopping, with some impacts, recorded at 48-16 with portable dat using schoeps ms ball, edited and decoded in stereo in pt.
Footsteps with rubber boots in deep water, then in small water, then on sand (2,10). Close up. France, 2005. Recorded with schoeps cmc6-mk4recorded on fotex fr2mono 16 bits 48khz.
Recorded using roli seaboard block with garageband. Please feel free to share your work in comments below :) i would love to see what you came up with <3.
I've recorded myself firing up, smoking the cigarette; then dampening it down in the metal ashtray. Mic: audio technica at2050, cardioid, off-axis. Through art tube mp preamp.
Recorded a friend getting yelling in slow motion, ended up sounding like some sort of huge monster/creature roaring. Recorded on google pixel 3xl. Feel free to use.
A series of percussive and harsh stabs, distorted and with little tonality. I sampled these when i crashed a 303 softsynth and the buffer started to fxxk up.
This audio was taken on the subway train. I wanted the audience to picture a scene in which someone is sending a text message in order to meet up with a friend.
Shaking a 7-up can by holding the rim and holding the can sideways so the tab i broke off earlier slides around inside the can up and down the walls. It still has a few drops in it. File ends when i put it down on the desk on the other side of my keyboard from the mic. Recorded with cheap 12-year-old radio shack mic.
This is a kind of dull, soft laser bolt or gun blast. Or perhaps just some sort of impact sound. I thought it was interesting, because what it really is made up of is the sound of me shuffling my cell phone around for a second. How it ended up sounding like this i don't know. But perhaps someone has an application for the use of this sound. Enjoy.
hello freesound users. This time, i don't want to play a game. I have a message for you. Congratulations, you are still alive. You are not here, in this world, to just live and die. It's your duty to change this world for the good of humanity. You better hurry up. Make a change. Or suffer the consequences. .
Time to give something back. Drilling right in front of my house. Because internet cable was broken. Used the opportunity to mic it up. Recording made from inside. Drilling is about 5m away with a wall in between. You can hear my son about halfway through way in the background. But thought i wouldn't cut up the sample. Recording using 2 x gefell m930 in ortf stereo. No processing. Use freely. Would appreciate attribution if you use it, but not mandatory.
Another of the recordings i did on my phone at work of a steel cable at tension between phone poles. Hitting it with a wrench and making laser sounds. Cleaned up in audacity as the other one was. One is better than the other but can't remember which one i liked the best. Use as you please. If you use it for something and have the time to tell me where it ended up, that's cool. Either way, enjoy.
This is full sequence of music-box in tea can with screweing up(?) until full stop. It's gift-set of tin box with tea and onboard music box. First i'm winding up music box, put box on the table, then it plays until full stop. This audio recorded with sony mobile communications audio recorder (android) on nexus 4 in pcm wav. Then it was slightly edited with audacity - tiny noise reduction and equalisation (boost frequencies below ~400 hz, lowered frequencies higher than ~2500 hz).
This is only a recording of me playing a djembe, recorded with a pair of nt1-a mics, but after messing around with some of logic's amp and resonator effects i ended up with this. The 6/8 groove reminded me of the doctor-who theme, and the interval displacement of a minor 6th i thought sounded pretty cool. You don't have to credit me, but if you use my sound i'd love to hear what you come up with!.
96khz24 bit rain and thunder sound recorded withzoom h4n. It was around 1. 30am. . . The rain started with thunder rumbling. I woke up and the zoom h4n was ready and i started recording.
So my doctor prescribed me an awesome bottle of penicillin. I recorded myself picking it up, shaking it, and dropping a single pill. Extract what you wish from it.
Shaking a lego set box. Then dropping legos and handling them. Recorded using at4033 mic in adobe audition 3 and then edited and cleaned up. Normalized to -. 1.
A piece of construction equipment moving earth. The vehicle runs on tracks, which you can hear along with the squeaky pulleys. Also the warning beeps as the machine backs up.
Messing around with a simulation of a modular synth making weird electronic noises for a few minutes. Great for chopping up into ~250ms segments to use as sci-fi ui noises.
This is a simple clip of a police motorcycle starting and revving up a few times. It doesn't have much of a roar but is much softer of an engine sound.
Bonfire night march in lewes, england. Lots of crowds shouting at the locals who dress up in period costume and burn effigies of the pope and political figures.
Foley of whisking, beating eggs in a pyrex glass. Various speeds, various liquid and glass sounds, recorded using a sennheisser 416. I did not scramble these up, but i should have. Happy whisking!.
A korg ms-20 using the white noise generator into the esp to generate random triggers. Hooked up to a boss rph-10 phaser and then to emu patchmix dsp stereo reverb.
