Getting in, starting, and driving my 2011 peugeot ion electric car. The door opens, i put on my seat belt, insert the key, start the vehicle (there's the ready-to-drive beep), i put the car in drive, release the parking brake, and drive away. It's fun to patch up a kind of analog shift register (3 stages). Doepfer a-160 controls the stages. On a-160 i use /2, /4 and /8. I sample slewed noise. No quantizer.

A large (12 person) elevator located in an apartment building that was built as a hotel for the 1972 olympic games in munich, germany. There are four of these in the building, and they all rattle like nobody's business. In this recording, a part of the elevator arrival chime that plays on the ground floor can be heard in the beginning. Then, i walk into the elevator (two clicks in the recording here) and the doors close. Then it travels up 12 floors and the doors open with a very concerning metal rubbing sound.

Using beepbox. Co, i accidentally made a sound similar to my fm radio being unable to pick up a station. I keep my radio in my basement, so sometimes it can't pick up some frequencies right away, producing this noise.

I sound recorded my metal slinky springing up and down as i was holding it. If you put your recorder on the slinky you should end up hearing the following sound, like an armada of storm troopers.
