The sound of cereal in a bowl with milk being pushed around with a spoon. It sounds a bit like squelching gore or worms writhing in gore. Unfortunately it has the occasional pop.

Central texas thunderstorm with some very loud thunder! some sounds of cars driving by, birds, and tree branches hitting the roof. Unedited, raw audio. Unfortunately, i think my cat meowed a couple times.

A medium sized crowd sings the star spangled banner, then cheers and applauds. Didn't record the whole song unfortunately, but i got the good parts. Recorded in chicago with a sony pcm-d50.

I used a recording app on my samsung galaxy 3 phone to capture a caged parrot talking to itself, outside of a local restaurant. Unfortunately there was also a couple talking - but the parrot is loud and distinctive. A little wind noise. Cleaned up in audacity. And i have no idea what the parrot was saying!.

Every morning the sprinklers turn on at my apartment, so i decided to record them turning on and off. Unfortunately, some outside ambience creeps in, but they're still fairly clean. Recorded with: sanken cs-1e, fostex fr2le.

This is a field recording of a grey seal pup wailing while trying to find its mother's teat. Recorded at a lincolnshire grey seal colony in late november 2012. A lot of wind noise, unfortunately.

This sound is a beep like heart monitor, i created with an audio editor, i used cine wave 5000 hz with intervals of 500 ms betuin the beeps i also aplied a soft reverb. Unfortunately this people dies on the end. Sad.

My dad using a gas-powered tiller on the side of his driveway. Unfortunately, i didn't realize his truck radio was on, though you can only hear it when he turns the tiller off at the end of the recording. It was recorded on the zoom h4n.

The y2k symphony. On new year's, 2000, when the world didn't end, a group of friends was in a log cabin near peterborough, on, canada, and performed this improvised symphony on a collection of percussion toys and wineglasses. Recorded on minidisk, but unfortunately one channel was lost so it's in mono.

This is record from line-out of soundcard connected to microphone in, when command "sudo cat /dev/sda1 > /dev/dsp" is running in my linux command line shell. Sounds really close to modem 56k. Unfortunately i've written it into 128 kbit mp3, so this is result of back conversion into wave.

Here is a recording i made of a pig at hackney city farm. It was recorded about 4 years ago on a zoom h2. Unfortunately there are some people in the background but there are also some clean grunts and breathing. Enjoy!.

On 8th of june 2013 thunderstorms developed above pécel, small town in hungary in the afternoon. The greatest part is recorded by my sony stereo dictaphone. Unfortunately some of my neighbours were talking too and can be heard in the recording.

I heard these owls outside my window this evening. I live next to a large field and it attracts birds of prey frequently. I managed to capture them conversing back and forth. Unfortunately, the neighbors dog had to chime in. But, even that sounds kind of neat with the natural reverb of the open space.

A few strokes from a felt tip pen. I couldn't find any of the right length on here so thought i'd share. Unfortunately these are recorded on a mobile phone, but i've not done any audio processing so you can gain and de-noise to your own needs.

Field recording made near open air swimming pool in poznań, poland, before noon. Mainly children's voices can be heard, but also people passing-by and some cars and other city sounds. Unfortunately, wind blows were sommetimes strong.

This is the sound of an inland vessel on river rhine, near mannheim, germany. You can hear the rhythmic and fluctuating vibrations of the diesel engine. Seems to be an older one. Unfortunately i oriented my zoom h2n wrongly (90° to the right). So most of the noise appears on the left ear.

Looping, swirling, sweeping, echoey, ambient keyboard sound. The result of an experiment one night with a korg z1 and a pile of vst stuff. Unfortunately i only experimented with it in one key =(. Will also loop nicely in a kind of moody, urban, dubsteppy way at around 67-70bpm.

Brief recording aboard a red line train in chicago, roughly from sheridan to lawrence going north towards howard, recorded sometime in winter 2019. You can hear some chatter in the background. Unfortunately there is some slight cell phone interference in the last few seconds.

Raw recording of the fireplace with some logs burning and crackling. Unfortunately the metal making up the insert was expanding and contracting, and some of those noises are present as well. Possibly useful as some ambience. Recorded on a zoom handy h4n recorder using the built-in microphones with directivity of 90°.

Recorded on a zoom h4n in stereo. The lions were fairly far away. I've amped it a bit make them louder and removed some bass rumble. We actually had lions walk through and roar (!) in our camp one night! unfortunately i didn't have my recorder running then. It was deafeningly loud! next time!.

I was messing around with my korg volca keys, and i liked this little section. The only problem is that i believe it only recorded into the left channel for some reason. I don't know why that happened, so unfortunately you will have to correct that, but it should be an easy fix in any sound editing program.

Hey,. I tried to create an acceptable recording of a thunderstorm. Unfortunately i live near a freeway, so it was impossible to filter out the car noises. . . And also the wind blows a little disturbingly into the mic. . . Anyway, the recording turned out better than expected. Feel free to use it for whatever u could need it for. . . . I was waiting for a person at the conservatory of venice and i decided to step out on the terrace and trying a field recording. I was at the last floor of a tall building, you can hear people talking on the ground floor, music coming out from classrooms. Recorded with a zoom h1 without windshield, unfortunately there is some wind and handling noises.

I recorded myself walking around my office. Unfortunately, the environment isn't as quiet as i'd like; you can discern some traffic noise coming from outside the office building. Attribution isn't necessary, but i'd love to hear anything you use it in. Recorded with: sanken cs-1e, fostex fr2le.

A marimba note being struck while thrown in to the air. Can't remember the mic that was used but it was a condensor mic. This was recorded in my room so unfortunately the signal to ambient noise ratio isn't great. The sound can be used for free (though it would be great to hear about what you do with it). It may not be re-distributed as it is, or as part of a compiled sound library.

This is a recording made in the living room of my apartment in the province of rieti in italy, while i am trying a nano drone that i bought at the troni shop, however, since this small drone is unfortunately a bit unmanageable even with the remote control, you can also hear some crashes, because this model goes a bit where he wants. This recording was done with an asus stereo cellphone.

Big lightning happening in my hometown the evening of may 24th 2020. Went outside with a tascam dr-05 handheld recorded to try and get some thunderclaps, but unfortunately the rain and lightning were more prevalent than the thunder. Here and there i comment to myself about a particularly big flash, hoping it results in a big boom, but there aren't as many booms as i was hoping to capture in the time i had the recorder switched on.

I let off fireworks inside a silo. Unfortunately the best audio i got was from the gopro inside. Found a big bush covered in white flowers with loads of bees buzzing all over it. Some good buzz noises here but unfortunately quite a bit of mic handling noise and the sound of the leaves brushing against the mic as i pushed it in close to try and stir up the bees a bit. Luckily i didn't get stung!.

bruxxing is when a rodent grinds its teeth. Sometimes it can be quite loud. It may seem like a sign of aggression, but it's actually their way of showing they are content. My boys will often brux for lengths of time, but unfortunately i could only catch this little bit. Also, they do this thing called "boggling," which is when their eyes seem to be popping from their sockets. As strange as it looks, it means they're really happy.

Not only do chicken carcasses make a tasty stock they also make great sounds when you mangle them about a bit!. Various squelching and squishing sounds with the occasional bone snap. No processing except small fade in/out. This one has a really annoying breath noise on the mic at the best bit unfortunately.

Peddlers selling peto (typical food), on the caribbean coast of colombia, are announced by a particular sound. The sound is now an element of popular culture in the area, carrying connotations linked to life in the neighborhood. This sound is therefore a cultural value and has established itself as a geographical mark. There is also a mandarin fruit seller at the back. Unfortunately recorded by a rode mic connected to a panasonic camera recorder. Recorded in 48khz 16bit wave. .

This is a first attempt to record sound underwater, i build a small hydrophone according to the instruction gave us by digifishmusic, i could probably make it better but all considered i'm pleased whit it. The hydrophone was placed in a small river near where i live, just below the water surface but unfortunately it kept bouncing against the rocks so it's a bit noisy. Enjoy!.

04-21-2013 - chainsaw cutting:sunday, april 21, 2013: had to take care of some fallen trees; seemed wise to record it. This chainsaw is brand new. 45cc recording taken at a distance of 30 feet and is unfortunately tarnished at the front with an ambulance siren. Recording gear: zoom h2/n @ 44. 1k/16bit using built-in xy microphones.
