This is a recording made on the morning of march 25, 2012 in greensboro, north carolina, usa, featuring a thunderstorm and plenty of birdsong. I recorded this as i thought it was a pretty interesting contrast at the time. This recording was made with an olympus ls100 and it's internal microphones behind a window screen.

Snowy path with crunchy crust, you approach the hen house. They approach you eagerly, anticipating some sort of edible gift. There is no gift. The hens slowly realize the reality of their situation and return to their scavenging. You produce a deep clucking bellow -- one last attempt to reach them. But it's too late, the hens pay you no mind. It is time to go.

After checking my mail i was walking back to the house and heard this plane approaching. I always carry my yamaha pocketrak and got it going just in time to catch this low flyover. It actually reminded me of a warplane flying over. I also left in the wind sounds that sort of sound like distant artillery. Please comment on what you will use it for. Thanks. :^).

My swiss army knife of sounds: i recorded myself falling over a plastic stool for an episode of our comedy podcast, mission: rejected. It was supposed to be a one-time sound, where a clumsy analyst named stuart gilligan trips while getting out of his chair. I've used this sound two dozen times since, for fights, trips, tearing pictures off walls, throwing people out of windows, and plenty of others. I can't explain why this sound amuses me so much, but i hope others can find use and amusement in it as well.

Made for the ice-breaker collab. Simple mournful loop with deep kick, flute and strings. Tempo=90 bpm. An arpegiated supersaw over drone effect (wollo drone) repeats 3 times. First iteration includes a melody played as a flute. Second iteration of the loop has the flute replaced with a full string section. Third time around, it's just the arp and drone. All three versions of the loop have a deep, reverberating and mellow kickdrum. Sounds tribal(-ish). Created in flstudio 11. 04 with virtual instruments and vst eq + reverb.

Dare 31 signature soundhttps://www. Freesound. Org/forum/dare-the-community/35630/this is my signature sound. It’s the ambience of an airport (got) recorded with my mobile phone. In audacity i amplified, phase shifted and time stretched it a little. I wanted an all round strange ambience sound. Made a 12s loop. This sound will be used and recognizable in the forthcoming three dare submissions from me.

It's kind of like the sound zombies make in movies where they are not really zombies but raging infected people. I used : pitch shift, time shift, octaver, eq, overdrive.

Plenty of traffic at a large square in central munich, southern germany. The square has been named officially karlsplatz in 1797. Munich natives seldom use that name, calling the square instead stachus. Towards the end of the recording a tram tries to force its way, using his bell for a looong time. This is an alert signal from a real fire station. I tried to make a sound how they wanted it, and what i believe what was needed. Few things like 1) start softly to ease it when waking up in the night 2) some pauses for better recognition of speech or other signals heard same time 3) good cut trough background noise or whatever, stressless but good cut trough 3) limited length before announcement.

A few sporadic waterdrops. Just a random sound i've been making with my mouth ever since i was a little kid. At the right volume it's fairly convincing. Anyway, i've been using this site for a while for a few of my own projects and felt it was time to say thank you and give something back. If you can use it for anything, then by all means, feel free. I made this wonderful recording in july 2011 at about 9:00 at night on a hot, muggy july evening. This is the time of year when the insect chorus can get very, very loud. Pretty amazing volume for such small insects. The really loud ones seem to reside in the trees and not on the ground. Recorder used: zoom h4n recorder using its built-in stereo microphones.

Formatted for use in the make noise morphagene. This reel was used in the morphagene: plane of composition video. It consists of several splices of equal length to be traversed through linearly or nonlinearly. Audio is counting from 1 through 8 with various text-to-speech voices. The output has been edited so that the numbers appear at the same time in each splice for plane of composition traversal.

Using a finger and a small blackroll tube, i recorded a few plopps with a rode nt-usb mini and the rode podcast recording software. Noise gate and compression were turned on at the time of recordings. For me, it sounds a little bit like a cork popping from a bottle, but it has a richer sound, somewhat overdoing it. . . This is one of those sound effects you kind of go "huh?" about when you hear. Let me explain what this is and how i imagine it being used. To me, it sounded like a good sound effect for when a computer (whether in a game or animation or whatever) screen starts writing down text (in other words, when a message is displayed on a screen and is written down one letter at a time until the complete message is shown). There are two versions here. The first one fades out (to be used a single time), and the second one is loopable (so you can loop it to make it last longer). Okay, i'm done with the long boring description. I hope you enjoy this weird, different type of sound effect :). P. S. I request that all my sound effects only be used for clean, appropriate media and projects. Thanks!.
