I created this torture sound for a short film i made. I used a verse 504 labtech mic with a sony mini disc recorder in my garage. I smashed a cantaloupe with a hammer adjusting mic placement until i had the desired volume and sound.

This is the sound of metal dock posts being driven in during maintenance at a marina in vancouver, canada. They pounded some of them a hundred times without out any obvious movement. This is a recording of seven consecutive hits. There is a lot of echo after each strike with the slight sound of rattling chains after each one.

Raw unedited recording of harsh metallic tinking sounds caused by a hot metal plate being hit by water droplets. The plate was hot enough to induce a leidenfrost effect preventing most of the water from boiling and sizzling away leaving mostly the impact sounds.

This and several others you'll not get, made me wonder if i shouldn't be charging for this. Can't believe some people pay to have it done. Doubled leather belt. 4th of june 2016 thunderstorm in pécel, hungary at 5pm recorded by sony icd-ux512 dictaphone. You can hear the rain slowly coming toward us. The storm was also involved with a funnel cloud and a downburst.

This is an ambient background sound made in the tropical rain forest from the venezuelan amazonas at noon (12:00m), there you can listen to some exotic bird singin, some early cicades and wind striking moriche treepalms. Wav except instead of recording on the window sill, the device is hand-held aloft in the middle of the veranda and closer to the ceiling. We hear the sound of the restaurant with people eating and chatting while the open kitchen is busy washing and preparing dishes. A rumble of thunder from a storm over 50 miles away over the irish sea from an mcs during july 2016. The atmospheric conditions of that night, along with the lack of other noise allowed sounds to be heard much further than they normally would.
