An unexpected, crunchy "glitch" sound that resulted from mixing up the line in/line out ports when processing music from a cassette tape. Even though i mixed things up, it managed to spit out this sound.
You probably know the trick, hold a wineglass in one hand, put a bit of spit on one finger of the other hand, and rub that finger along the top edge of the glass. Recorded with an akg lyra.

A sizzling effect made from close proximity xy (diaphragm) recording of oil on a high heat dropped onto a heated frying pan. Careful doing this, as this spits very hot oil back at you. It however will also create this rather high timbre sound very suited to those get scalded.

This is the sound of trying to squeeze the last dregs of liquid hand soap from a 60-oz plastic container. It has no excuse for sounding this rude. Recorded opportunistically under non-ideal circumstances (including noise floor and clock ticking in background), using the built-in mic on an iphone 7. No processing was done except splicing multiple takes into one file, and transcoding to wav.

The hiss in the background is the constant float of steam from the ground along with the regular release of pockets of air from these odd little spitting mud holes. Pretty cool to see and producing a very unique sound. Not sure if it'll be useful for anything, but it was too cool to pass up. A diesel train flushing out the condensation from a particular valve, as i am told. Sounds like electricity sparking or something. It was quite loud, my gain was set extremely low, enough that i didn't pick up any of the road traffic with cars passing a few feet behind me. Trying to start my dads formula ford race car, its a lola 1600cc from 1984. The car has won the world championship, back in the days. After standing still for half a year, the old lady didnt want to wake up easy. But, shes alive!!! still quite grumpy lol the ignition was not set up properly, so the old gall was spitting flames!! if you listen carefully you can hear the popping and banging of the explosions in the tailpipe :)recorded with my phone.

A recording of a high school class. Students were working on a sound effects project on computers, but generally allowed to talk as they worked. This is maybe 18 students, with the mic about 10 feet away from the nearest student, mic towards one side of the room, pointed towards the middle. We also have ac on, and an av cart that has a fan on, plus a wall clock, some of which you may not be able to hear over the students. Mic was the zoom h1 set to record a wav file, record level manual, low pass filter engaged, with the quality settings at the highest values. It was then put through audacity to amplify it to the highest allowable levels without distorting, and spit out as a wav.
