Short, heavy sound of a glass object being shattered. Created by mixing and editing, in audacity, some recordings of a glass object being thrown on the ground.

Found sound recorded in a friends kitchen, cut up into a groove in ableton live. . . Recorded with zoom h1. Drawers opening and closing, scissors scissoring, cutlery crashing and plates smashing etc. Etc. 84 bpm.

It's just a sterling silver spoon being dropped gently onto a wooden cutting board. Nevertheless, first thing i used this sound for was a dwarf hammering a weapon.

A steampunk style grapple hook made in reaper from cutting up and doing eq, pitch, and fade manipulations. Source audio is me smashing my bicycle chain against various surfaces while recording from iphone audio recorder.

I needed a nice breaking glass sound but none were quite punchy enough so i grabbed a few from here, comped them, eq'd them and panned them nicely. Here is the result. Hope somebody else finds it useful.

So there's a slightly back story here. So i was visiting a blank lot super frustrated and i picked up a brick from a reserved pile and smashed it onto the ground. Hopefully nobody even noticed.

A simple sound of an egg shell cracking. It was actually made by taking an index card and smashing it twice between my palms, putting them together, mixing and editing in audacity. Not very super realistic, but sounds good if it's flying and hits something.

Excellent sound of a large explosion, similar to a grenade. This was made in pro tools. Originally it was the sound of a mallet smashing a plastic cup recorded with an akg 414 ld condenser. I used an air frequency shifter, air reverb, and air dynamic delay to do the rest.

Sort of a clattering or crash sound when the box hits the floor, like something smashing. It was made my me placing my recorder close to where i would drop the box on the floor. The box was actually full of lego bricks.

A ring of keys picked up and dropped repeatedly from a height of 6" or so into a tub of coins. Assorted metal-against-metal sounds when picked up, short metallic crashes when dropped. Some minor removal of background noise. Recorded with minidisc and condenser mic, close, indoors.

#csd [collabo sound design]. Cuffh4tz (#csd 001). Smashing one part of the cuffz on the other one which lies on a wooden table. The wooden table was chosen to damp the signal and gives it a more solid sound. The chain between the cuffz adds a nice character to the sound. This library consists of 39 samples.

I've only had one take of breaking glass mirror shot for feature film - so i used 3 different microphones at different input levels & position to avoid clipping. This one is from oktava mk-012 short condenser microphone with omni capsule to sound devices 788t. .

It's a recording of wooden door in an old village house getting closed rapidly. There is some overhead silence in this recording to allow making a smooth transision for this sample (fade-in and fade-out), because there is some background noise and little sound of me moving around. Recorded with a zoom h2 at 48khz/24-bit, edited, nomalized and converted to flac using audacity.
