This is my first upload: a short walk between the stalls of the vismarkt in groningen, netherlands. Is was a splendid and sunny saturday morning, about 9. 30 am, may 7th 2016. In the first part of the recording, a garbage truck is already cleaning up. Fish crates are being piled up and money is exchanging hands. As the name of the market square suggests, the stalls are filled with fresh north sea and wadden sea fish. But i also passed stalls where cheese, meat and spices were sold. Business was thriving at the time of the recording. The groningen vismarkt is broadly recognized as one of the finest food markets in the country. I used an iphone with a zoom iq5. As said, this is my first recording, so please bear with me. . . I intend to learn.

A field recording of small waves crashing on a sandy shore. Part of the recording includes the waves splashing against a wooden structure. The waves come a fast, regular intervals; this isn't the slow rolling crash of a barrel wave on the beach. There was a bit of wind (generating the waves) which i've did my best to minimize, but if you don't want wind in the recording you're going to need to edit around it. Two pairs of footsteps walking past on shingle beach at cley-next-the-sea, norfolk, while small waves break in the background and a strong offshore wind blows in jan 2016. Recorded with nt55 omni spaced pair in blimp, with sound devices mixpre-d and tascam dr70d.

This sound is entirely made with audacity, i played with the noised and reverberation on several tracks, then i shifted the tracks to create a come and go effect. I also reduced the volume on some parts of the tracks. This sound remind me of a windy weather near the ocean.

Recorded on zoom h4n. An outside seating area of a london pub on the river thames. Relaxed chatter, seagulls squawking and occasional boats passing by. There is also an occasional metallic bump from two boats that were moored nearby knocking into each-other.

The microphone was placed on a second-story window facing the street, though there was no traffic. You can hear the rain falling onto the roof, nearby pavement, trees, and ground.
