Recording of rain in a small town with some thunder, cars and birds. Plane passing by in the sky. Recorded with sound devices mix-pre-6 ii and two mxl 603s mogami custom mics in din stereo. Recorded in 192khz/32bit. Post editing with rx8: low/high cut with eq to reduce rumble and noise, also gain increased and cut to length. Converted to 320kbps/cbr mp3.

Standing on the dock at halesite marina in ny at approximately 11:00 p. M. On 8/26/19. Sounds include: the movement of a floating dock, water splashing, fish jumping out of the water, boat masts, wind, crickets/insects, a car being started, passing cars, and an airplane. I've encountered fantasicly squeaky screws when putting together an mdf cabinet. The screws were driven with a scredriver into pre-puchend holes in an mdf panel. Recorded with zoom h1 at 96khz / 24-bit. Converted to flac using sox. No processing or editing was performed for maximum flexibility nad retaiging highest quality. Also out of laziness. Enjoy!.

This is a recording of traffic passing on a freeway. Used the voice recorder app on my samsung galaxy phone to record this. It is an android app available on google play. After recording this i downloaded it as a wav file, then uploaded it to soundtrap. Com. An online studio where you can record and create music using pre-recorded instrumental loops. Here i altered or distorted the sound of the traffic to make it a more ambient sounding loop. Giving it a drone sounding noise.

This is a recording of a slow freight train passing from about 50 feet away using the internal mics of a tascam dr-40. The recording was made in southern mississippi, usa. The train was going down a gentle slop, around a bend. The engines can be heard approaching and passing, followed by the various sounds made by the wheels as the individual cars pass. The file was edited using adobe audition 6. The processing used was a high pass filter around 30 hz and a multi-band compressor. A couple of times during the recording clipping of the pre-amps can be heard because i was manually riding the input gain.

I had a little job which involved a cat drinking. . But first i had to record the bowl being put down. . . I placed the bowl down a few times - captured with correct room sound required. . To my amazement my cat decided to do somethign useful and actually came up to the bowl and started drinking the water. . . . . . Unfortunately i wasnt close mic'd - but my little booth is pretty quiet. . . .
