After checking my mail i was walking back to the house and heard this plane approaching. I always carry my yamaha pocketrak and got it going just in time to catch this low flyover. The track was taken of a swiftair boeing 734-400 freighter flew over when landing at leipzig-halle airport (germany) on march 06, 2021. Equipment used for recording was a zoom h5 stereo field recorder + 2 rode ntg2 shotgun mics. Registration of the plane was ec-nml. The slight background noise comes from a nearby motorway. . . For the recording, i used the tree-ear method, holding the microphones on either side of a tree, which results in a very wide stereo field (considering the capsules are omni). It was recorded in my backyard on a winter day which was actually more like a spring day.

This sound is of a commercial airliner passing overhead. It was recorded using my zoom h4n stereo field recorder, as i faced east, looking over sun devil stadium in tempe, arizona on top of what they call "a mountain". It was captured around 3:30 in the afternoon, in the spring of 2014, with the airplane due east towards phoenix sky harbor airport, descending on approach.

Rain wind and thunder : rain with heavy thunderstorm outside a shop (or coffee shop or house or tent) with raindrops on the rooftop or the canopy being mildly sharply audible. Gradually thunder and wind stop towards the end of the sample. Synthesized using noise oscillators (white, color and band) in thor in propellerheads reason.

Recreated sounds of a field recording done for loyola high school. There are only two sounds under an attribution license. For the first sound, i just made the duration shorter. This was recorded on july 4th, 2013 in enumclaw, wa. I was not expecting the bomber to fly over and it was a tribute to one of the last surviving members (edward saylor) of the doolittle raid on tokyo on april 18th, 1942. He was in the parade too. I can just imagine the sound of hundreds flying over in ww2. There is a bit of distortion as the plane flew directly overhead. Please comment on what you will use it for. :^).

Roller coaster- nothing really noteworthy about this recording. It’s just a nice wide stereo capture of an old style wood-frame roller coaster. I think there were only 2 or 3 people riding it as i did this recording, as it was a not-at-all busy weekday afternoon in the off season. We get a passing motorcycle at the very beginning, and then a distant plane just prior to the roller coaster. On many days i take a two mile walk from my house to my job. One gorgeous day i took my zoom h1 and sampled audio at various points during this walk. To avoid footsteps, i recorded each location standing still. In this file i gradually crossfade between the different locations. The walk begins on a suburban street, goes past a park where children are playing baseball, then a busy intersection, then a factory with open windows. A couple planes can be heard overhead. The last thing in the recording is the door of my job opening. ----recorded with internal microphones of a zoom h1.

Most of this recording is of insects in a special field of native wildflowers at a dog-park on south mountain reservation in new jersey. Near the beginning of the recording, you can hear, in the distance, a dog at the dog park yelping in pain very loudly, perhaps after receiving a bite from another dog. The rest of the recording is pure ambience, except for a plane (newark airport isn't far off). ---two primo em172 capsules -> zoom h1.
