Another band approaches. A woman seems to tell someone to say cheese in the distance. The file ends when the band gets a bit too loud for my microphone. Recorded with goldwave with an asus laptop in my backpack and a microsoft lifecam3000 poking out of it facing behind me clothes-pinned to one of the handles of the pack. Boomerang is a steel shuttle roller coaster located at bellewaerde in ypres, west flanders, flemish region, belgium. Although it wasn't the first vekoma boomerang to be built, it was the first to be opened due to technical issues with the other roller coaster. This spectacular roller coaster takes you to a height of 32 m, before launching you forward and backward, like a boomerang, at over 80 km/h. There is a lot of nonsense in this file. I'm trying to create a sound that resembles captain america's shield from the marvel movies. I took a recording of a metal garbage can ringing and brought it into iris 2. I cut the attack from the envelope and added light amplitude sine wave modulation. I also set a short decay. I also layered a clean sine wave underneath the recording sample in order to give the recording more umph and body when it resonates. This is the base of captain america's shield. It's an all synthetized sound created on audacity. I wanted to recreat the sound of an ovni, but not one that makes people scared : like there is only one alien in this ovni but it seems pretty nice. I started by created a new audiotrack, then i generated chirps and keeping the default values. Then i duplicated the track and made a stereo track of both. I add wahwah effect on the track, changing and modulate the different default values (for example, highest dept and a lot of resonance). After, i add phaser affect on the whole track to make the sound a little bit more spacial. Then i normalized the track. Last, i raised the speed twice by 2. This ambience is a bit more earth-like compared to its predecessor, though any sound used here is either created from scratch or recorded: i used my own voice for the "bird" sounds and a crickets chirping recording for some background noise. This is a clip of various engine sounds recorded on my 2003 subaru impreza wrx with a 3" turbo-back exhaust system. The audio starts with the engine at idle and includes a few engine revs at different rpms. You can hear some turbo whistling and also some rattling of god-knows-what parts. It's a little muffled (kind of a muddy sound), but could be used as part of an action sequence or with a music track laid over. This is the recording of an audible pedestrians traffic light in paris, france. These devices are here to help visually impaired people cross the streets in a safe way. They come under the form of a little beige box with a hidden button underneath. You have to push the button to hear the annoucement. You can find them all over the city. The sequence goes as follows: first, an annoucement in french says "red light for pedestrians", followed by the street name, then a jingle goes on, followed by a series of bell-like sounds, signaling a green light. Org. I imported that file to my ableton live. I reverse the sample and shorten a little. From the sample window i changed flux and grain values to bring out uneasy tones in front. I did make two other copies of the sample and played them all in same sequence, with slight different transpose values. This is my first recording using my binaural mic. I took a walk to meet my wife for lunch and decided to record it. It was windy outside, and even with the standard foam wind protection, you can still hear some wind rumble. It might be fixed using some low cut filtering but i wanted to post it as is. This take started inside my recording studio and ended in a fairly large avenue with lots of traffic (cars and motorcycles). There is a pause on the recording by 01:59, when i had to change the mic cable position. Signal chain: roland cs-10em (with foam windscreen) > sony pcm-m10 (rec level: manual, at about 3,5; mic sensitivity: low; limiter: off; low cut filter: disabled).

I built it because i could. It is fitted with gliding linear slide carriage bearings, has a counterbalanced offset crank with needle bearings, a jackshaft to drive it from a variable-speed dc motor, and even a variable stroke length (which was tricky). Recorded binaurally using sound professionals ms-tfb-2 binaural microphone headset, 12vdc battery box, sound devices mixpre-6 at 24/192. Postprocessing: digital gain, downsampled to 16/48. Flac: encoded. The rock formations here play appealing tricks with the sound of the running and falling stream. Facing out over falls dropoff, vaguely. A lot of digital gain (+30db?) was applied in postprocessing. The analog preamp was originally set to +21db on the aux-in (ch5/6) input, but this may not have been the optimal gain staging. This is a simple recording of the passing crowd in the heart of the latin quarter of paris, france, on a wednesday evening between christmas and new year's eve. The recording was made at the corner of the pedestrian xavier privas and huchette streets, with the mics aimed diagonally across the street, about 4. 5 feet above ground. By a happy coincidence (i'd like to say that i engineered it, but i didn't), this sound file loops seamlessly. The clip includes the sounds of many people passing by (the area was very crowded), and some snippets of conversation, mostly in french, with a few other languages thrown in. Some faint traffic noise can be heard on the left, from the busy quai saint michel street along the south bank of the seine river, at the north end of the xavier privas street (left of the mics in this recording). Recorded with a hand-held zoom h4n, stereo, 96 khz / 24 bits, built-in mics.

On an even night of april 2018, in a huge temple in bangkok -none of the famous ones-, i went to crash funerals -i truly recommend do this; people is very nice and the spectacle it's just amazing, you have singing, acrobatics, free food. . . This recording came from a taoist funeral -that night they have also some others in that temple -i need to find out which one, but i think it's next to sam sen subway station-, many, buddhist funerals. Just now, i realized the singing it's in mandarin. Over the funeral chatting, you heard the singer voice and the instrument, timbals, erhu. A very oriental ambiance. Not edited.
