The clip was created using a synsonics "terminator" guitar with a built-in amp by running the output to my sound card and sound card's output going into to a secondary jack intended for headphones on the guitar. It created an interesting metallic noise, almost like a ring mod. . . There is a segment where i was poking the guitar's amp circuit board with my fingers which creates lots of grumbling/squelchy noises. . . The guitar is kind of crappy, but it makes a pretty neat noise synth! :b.

Inspired by a discussion on the ambient online forum:https://www. Ambientonline. Org/forum/ambient/sound-design/92341-how-to-synthesize-drum-sounds. Used the subtractor synth from reason. Please refer to the pack description for a full list of the sounds synthesized. Ao_subtractor_snare_2_1. Reason subtractorosc 1 is off (set balance 100% to osc 2 + noise). Osc 2 set to sine wave, oct = 3. Noise decay = 127, noise color = 127, noise level = 127. Filter set to low-pass 12 and completely open (=127). Amp env decay = 44.

This was recorded at the edge of a field, so it's literally a field recording. It's summer, there has been some rain but now it has stopped and the sun is out. A lark is singing its heart out. There is some wind noise which i've reduced with eq and noise removal using audacity, also some traffic noise from the road some way to my right (hard to get away from traffic noise). Recorded with a zoom h1 using the in-built microphones.
