Sounds of wonderful cicadas recorded in bolano (la spezia, italy) in august 2021. You can hear different species of cicadas, sound of wind and sound of the small town in the distance. Recorded with a zoom h1n (96khz /24bit). Recorded in a sunny, calm-windy afternoon. The sound was no post-processed.

Recorded on my zoom h4n in early spring at 1:32 am. I believe this to be a call of the great horned owl that is found all over north american as well as parts of central and south anerica. There is a distant sound of a dog barking but there are three owl calls, with the last two the cleanest.

A recording i made literally on my front porch in january as a big mass of cold air was arriving with gusty winds. This wren was just chattering away. Made with zoom h4-n using its internal microphones, with the record volumeset on 80.

Birds singing and chirping at dawn in the suburbs, a few cars passing in the distance. Noise is a bit high. Recorded with zoom h6 with ms mic. Caught many kinds of birds in the distance, too, including a duck and a rooster.

An obnoxious black crow calls as traffic passes and wind blows through the fall leaves. The leaves clatter on the pavement and a second type of bird with a higher pitch call joins the party, then another.

His call literally sounds like he is thirsty and tired of the heat of summer!this woods recording has the feel of slow motion summer, but still with the exciting and subtle knowledge that, things are starting to give way to autumn, and indoor schedules and long shadows. . So i recently got a new portable recorder (sony pcm-d100). Early one spring morning, i could hear a woodpecker crystal clear from inside my room, with my noise canceling headphones still snug on my head. So naturally, i did a lil ambient recording. Since it was spring, the rich chorus of birdsongs made it, in my book, a freesound-worthy file. I didn't process this very much, except wrapping it around near the end so it could seamlessly loop back, and eqing it to bring out the birds more and soften the mic-noise. In case you're curious, it's a pileated woodpecker!.

The ambience takes place in a forest near madrid, on october, 2015. The sound is the reproduction of footsteps of a runner approaching. The effect that is produced is like a doppler effect, but i didn't change the recording. I recorded it with a zoom h4n. The sound can be used as a background resource. I wanted to capture tramp of feet on gravel moving away, as a typical sound to be used in stories.

This kind of wasp is building individual nests made out of mud. Then they lay an egg inside of each one and brings a reserve of food in it for the future larvae. This is the sound of the female wasp working on its mud coccoon. Recorded on a tascam dr-40 with a rode ntg-1.

I don't know the details (like male / female, barn, tawny, big, little etc) but this fella started hooting the tother day so loud we could hear him/her indoors. The recording was done straight from my samsung galaxy phone. Slight amplification applied but otherwise raw.

Went to målsjön in kristdala, sweden. I was surprised by bird life so early in the year. It's mainly the song tunes that are heard but also other birds like mallards, nuthatch and maybe willow tit and many more. Equipment usedrecorder zoom f4microphones two line audio cm3.

We were having a small rainstorm, so i thought i'd go out and record the rain. As you can see, (or hear!), i got much more than that! this is the complete original audio, all unedited. It sounds as if the lightning struck at least three times! enjoy! (i know i do!).

Early june morning. Sound of birds and chipmunks in woods east of seattle, wa, usa. 24/48000 stereo pcm. Studio projects ldc 8" from ground 10' apart. Mossy trail in woods. High pass filter at 300 hhz. Waves z-noise filter removes some of the white noise.

Recorded and processed at 24bit 48khz using a rode nt1-a condenser microphone. Processing: gain-staging and soft high and low frequency filtering. No eq boost or cuts anywhere else. Also de-noised.

Ambience at furzey gardens, new forest, hampshire, uk in the summer. There are families eating, drinking and chatting at a nearby cafe whilst the birds sing in the gardens. Recorded on a zoom h5 on a tripod using the internal capsules and a dead-cat.

Recording of loud frogs in a small pond out behind my house in massachusetts. As near as i can figure from other recordings i've heard, these are eastern grey tree frogs. Crickets are also audible in the background throughout the recording, as is some background traffic noise. A peeper or two make cameo appearances as well.
