Sound of opening the inner lid of new elite coffee. It consists of a clearly audible part, and a quiet part - opening the remaining paper. This is not a sound you can record often, because you can open coffee only once!. Sound was recorded with a mic "sony" (an inexpensive one). It was edited a bit, to cut unwanted mic-touch sounds. The packaging of coffee says, "elite platinum, 100% natural freeze dried instant coffee, 100 g".

These owls were recorded around 8:30 at night in the shawnee national forest using my trusty rode ntg-2 on a mic stand. Even though it was a mild night and the insects and frogs should have been vocalizing, they weren't. It was kind of neat -- a dead-quiet night with nothing but these owls. If you thought that owls only do "hoot-hoot" you'll be surprised. After about a minute into it they really get going.

Stereo recording 48khz 24bit from the top of hangman's hill in the malvern hills, uk. Recorded for world listening day 2014 on 18 july in the early afternoon. The nt4 had quite a lot of top end hiss that i didn't really notice until too late.

I recorded this using my small sony cybershot camera. You'll notice that the wind goes from loud to soft to loud again, repeating. This because i am opening the window wide and then after a few seconds i close the window but not completely so that i get some low whistling sounds from the wind. I recorded for 18 minutes and i used audacity to edit it. Hope this sound is useful for you!.

A nice, clean, relaxing clip of running water, recorded at dusk in the seattle area. Recording the clip was not as relaxing as listening to it. I had to stoop down very uncomfortably for nine minutes until i got three minutes with no airplanes, and then i had to walk back to my aunt's house in the dark without a flashlight, though woods full of large spiders. . . This was recorded at the edge of a field, so it's literally a field recording. It's summer, there has been some rain but now it has stopped and the sun is out. A lark is singing its heart out. There is some wind noise which i've reduced with eq and noise removal using audacity, also some traffic noise from the road some way to my right (hard to get away from traffic noise). Recorded with a zoom h1 using the in-built microphones.
