Very loud, close recording of an old, partially functional wallensack reel-to-reel tape recorder. Recording includes the tape motor in operation and a piezo mic being dragged across the surface of the tape recorder. Mid/side recording of birdsong on a drizzly surrey morning. I hate to say it but i just don't want to hear any more lousy field recordings from portable devices with those dreadful 90,120 degree built in mics. If you're truly honest with yourself, they stink of amateur.

Just did a video where a man was rolling down a hill hitting rocks and bumps along the way. This is a public domain free to use for any purpose. I recorded this in my audio studio with a simple large diaphragm condenser mic dry. It's supposed to sound a bit corny!.

Part 2 of 3, swooshes. While on skype, someone i was calling left the mic on while he packed for a trip. A transmission error caused a unique distortion effect while he was moving gear and typing. These are the swooshes, normally made from dragging objects or sustained rustling. . . I think.

I needed a sound of cows chewing. So i went driving around in the countryside and found some cows close to a road that were eating in a trough. I put my mic close to them while they munched away. Sometimes they licked the microphone i was so close!.

I was recording with audacity on my blue yeti whilst in my room. The mic was totally unbalanced on my bed and it eventually fell over but when i played it back it sounded like a nice whoosh or poof. Also if you put it in reverse it sounds like a giant wind flap like a bird or something.

Here is a clip i recorded using a canon gl1 and a audiotechnica shotgun mic(unsure of model number, a cheap one i'm sure). The clip contains thesound of me clinking a fork around inside of a bowl (sounds likesomeone eating) and pouring water into a glass as well as a bowl. Thegain might need to be increased as the audio is low.

One night while recording vocals it was really windy outside, and the wind slammed one of the doors in my house shot. The sound got caught by the mic and i liked it enough to use it as a snare sample for that same song i was recording vocals too. Hope you'll find a creative use for it!.
