Recording of a canon pro 2000 printer's "lock and load" mechanism for ink. Several takes with both complete motions and step by step. First series are recorded from about a foot away, then close up. Recorded with a simple stereo mic set. This track has reverb removed.

Unlocking the safety frontdoor with keys needs more than one turn. Then closing and locking it again. The second unlock has a pause before the mechanism finally unlocks the door. At the end the door is getting locked from the inside with keys.

A short alarm followed by a beep, which sounds like a missile locking system being used. To create this effect i sped up and changed the pitch of an alarm clock, and followed it by a beep from a tone generator, which created my desired effect.
