I opened the door and stood in the doorway to record the wind. You hear leaves rustling on the floor and every now and then the wind accidentally gets into the mic as i don't have a wind screen. You hear a little howling as well as some squeeking noise through it.

Was messing around in logic today and came up with this little 16-bar loop. Bassline is made with ni razor synth (excellent piece of software!). I can elaborate on this beat, give you any samples or variations if you want. Just send me a pm and i'll do my best!.

I was just messing around in audacity, doing some things with a party noise maker sound effect, i slowed it down, put some reverb & echo, messed with the pitch a little bit, and got this! it's supposed to be kinda like "trumpets in the sky" and/or war of the worlds inspired.

Made this little explosion sound for the #gorecord challenge. This was un-submitted because the swell didnt fit well, but maybe some of you will find it useful. The beach at aldeburgh is made of pebbles so you can hear little of that as i walk around. You can the crashing of the waves against the pebbles and that fizzing noise as the sound dies down and the water recedes from the beach. This was recorded using a zoom h2n in 16-bit. Wav format.

This is a recording i made of a handle-less serrated knife rubbing against another of the same type, back and forth. I then cut out the lighter points to leave the heavy tones, then i gave it a little stretch and filtered it. Recorded on a zoom h2.

An mp3 recording of a blood-curdling scream which slightly reverberates. Made by me screaming into the piano while holding down the pedal, which makes the notes vibrate in tune with the voice. The scream is a little weird because i couldn't do it very realistically. :-) recorded with a black sony digital ic voice recorder.

A mouse eating a piece of prawn cracker from the chinese restaurant! this was the soundtrack to a 26-second film clip of a little black pet mouse having a treat. Some ambient noise, birdsong may be heard in the background - hopefully not too much. Had to grab the moment while i could!.

Basically it is a recording of a river that runs near my house. You can listen to the current of the river and different birds that are usually heard in the river bed in spain. It is made on a sunny spring day with very little car circulation by the corona virus. Recorded with a zoom h1 in stereo.

Testing/documenting my bartonmusicalcircuits (bmc21) full wave dual rectifier. "this is an all analog synthesizer module used to alter the timbre and create new harmonic content. " using the fact that it's a dual. 2 sinus waves through both of the rectifiers, through a filter and a little spring reverb.

The sound caught my attention and i thought others might find it useful. The sound comes from a small cardboard box with a glossy exterior being removed from a slightly bigger cardboard box causing the little pop at the end.

I combined an ambient bar crowd recording that i found here with a funky little back beat that i also found on this site and made a great cubicle noise blocker / filter. I use this at work with headphones on when i'm trying to concentrate and drown out conversations in the office. Also good for when i work from home and i'm trying to drown out the tv and other distractions. The crowd noise is excellent at diffusing regular office conversation and the little funky back beat keeps the crowd noise from getting boring. This works really well even at fairly low volume i. E. You dont have to crank it loud to drown out the distractions. Hope you like it and thanks to everyone for the great sounds on this site. Some loops i made in reaktor. They're made using a little wavetable-based synth which i built from scratch; the wavetable contains 32 home-grown waveforms, and the synth's parameters and effects are controlled by a bank of 16 sequencers. Good for glitch/minimal techno, and there are some nice individual bleeps/percussive sounds in there too. Enjoy!.

A cooking thermometer clinking around a shallow dish filled with water. I was trying to approximate the sound of a straight razor being rinsed off without having an actual straight razor in my possession. Not sure if i achieved that, but there are some interesting little sounds in there. Recorded on a cad u37 microphone into audacity. July 2018.

This was obviously a little aggressive and a demanding production. It's not much like trap, maybe it could be suitable for a rap or hiphop. The idea of using the car for the chase scene is nice.

Recording of a small plastic toy ball which, when moved, makes a rain-like sound. Recorded and processed at 24bit 96khz using the tascam dr-40 linear pcm recorder. Processing: gain-staging and soft high and low frequency filtering. No eq boost or cuts anywhere else. Also de-noised.

People in the hood having each their bit of fun. One drilling his life away, the other beating his drums, playing some girl into ecstacy. Recorded on october 7 2017 in the afternoon. Recorded with a zoom h6 through a roof window on the second floor with the xyh-6 capsule. No montage, a little equalizing in reaper.

Some sound fx made with modular synth. Could be useful at drum sounds or game sounds. The sounds are unedited and you have to cut em out you self. Sounds a little 8-bit. . . The reason are they are generated from square waves.

I was messing around with my korg volca keys, and i liked this little section. The only problem is that i believe it only recorded into the left channel for some reason. I don't know why that happened, so unfortunately you will have to correct that, but it should be an easy fix in any sound editing program.

Me doing an impression of a mouse for a project, as i didn't find any that suited on here. It's me squeaking, pitched and speed up a little. I am a human, not a mouse (although i did use a mouse to make the sound (a computer mouse - no mice were harmed in the making of this sound effect)).

This recording was made inside my apartment where i hear various noises of my pets such as: my little dog playing and barking, a pair of gray parrots and a pair of diamond doves. The recording was made in italy in the province of rieti with the shure mv88 plus digital stereo microphone connected to my iphone 12 pro.

First spring time thunderstorms hit the metro detroit today. This is a short sample of my original 2 hour recording that i thought was particularly nice. You'll hear several little thunder rumbles and rain in an city night atmosphere. Feel free to use.

I stopped on my way into work for a minute to record the sounds coming from a hedge. There's birdsong, a bit of traffic and you might be able to sense my awkwardness as i stood on the side of the street pointing a little electronic device towards a bush. Olympus ls-5, internal mics, no filtering.

For the 2021 production of christmas carol i wanted to add some special effects. To create a ghostly voices saying ebenezer scrooge i recorded 10 different cast members, then i used audacity to add a little reverb and filter the voice using the frequency transform of a recording of wind. Then i played the voices while the wind was blowing.

This is a great little piece to be used in teasers, trailers, or anything of the sort as it slowly builds up to reveal the climax. It also works in intros or logos, as well. Clean notes played on a home-made diddley bow. Sampled with an electric pickup and a little added reverb to make up for lack of sustain. Seasick steve inspired me to construct a diddley bow (it ain't hard). All you need is a length of wire, 4 or 5 ft of two-by-four, some timber nails, an empty bottle and a hammer.
