This is my competition entry for earth. It is comprised of copies of a kick drum recording and a high hat recording i've done with some phase vocoder processing. This short sound is really about 7 tracks of layered audio.

I made a synth snare sound by using deflemask to make it. I also did this with the synth kick sound, too. Do whatever you want with this (like sounds or music) and credit me if you want as pk superstar256 (in a fan project) or ismo-kun games (in a commercial project). Yes, you can use this in things that can make you money, just don't make money off of this sound of its entirety in unedited form. Hard house style loop programmed in ableton. Straight 4 on the floor with a big kick and a top end break run through an auto filter and beat repeat for a glitchy random sound. 4 bars at 133 bpm.

Layered a nice snare, some noise, clap, and even a really pitched up kick( like 24 semitones up) to get this sound. Added in some tape saturation and compression(rough rider) and voila, i made a dirty snare. :).

A 16 bar drum loop made in ableton with no samples rendered at 44100khz and a bit depth of 24 with triangular dithering. The drum loop runs at 140 bpm and the buzz on the bass/kick drum isn't audible when layered with a track.

A variation on breakbeat 1,a few more snare hits and an extra kick to shuffle it up a bit. A bit of fuzz across the whole drum mix really does make a difference!normalise for extra volume.

Little breakbeat with skippy snares using one of the chemical kits in reason. Kick and snare were processed separately. A bit of fuzz used across the board to dirty it up a bit and some gentle re verb on the snares and hats.

Recording of live kick drum that was gently hand-tapped with a plastic club. Recording was then reversed and processed through compressor, eq, flanger, gentle distortion and slight reverbation, to produce something almost but not quite entirely unlike an approximation of the beating of a human heart.
