First spring time thunderstorms hit the metro detroit today. This is a short sample of my original 2 hour recording that i thought was particularly nice. You'll hear several little thunder rumbles and rain in an city night atmosphere. Feel free to use.

A sound i thought i could hear in my mind and i thought i might be able to find, but decided to go out and create this one. We went out and literally hit metal rulers against a metal staircase handrail, and then went into audacity and reverberated a copy underneath the sound, and tweaked it a bit to add the lasting effect.

You can hear people in the park next to york minster chatting, walking, laughing and there's distant city noises. Then, around halfway through the recording the bells start to ring out for midday. An alarm inspired by the utsuho reiuji one in touhou 11/12. 3! this might have been done with a vst called ice cream but that's only because i hear some suggestions of a tritone in there. (i made this a while ago. ) in any case, it appears to be the result of noodling around in mixcraft 6!.

Night stroll in xining's restaurant quarter. We hear street-food sellers as we walk up the street in qinghai's capital city (western china). People chat in the background while ordering and eating their meals. Some cars honk their horns. Recorded with sony pcm-d50.

Blowing your nose: a very subtle sound but one that stays true to the common flue. You can hear the tissue crinkling when used, the slight sniffles and also the air escaping the man’s nose. Striking a wooden barrel with a thick wooden drum stick i have for large percussion. Minimal eq to remove useless frequencies below 80 hz, no boosting more than 2db, so very non destructive. No compression added. No permissions needed but i'd love to hear what you used it in!.

Besides being an inspiration since man first explored her, the ancient mississippi river is also a highway for many coal-carrying barges. For this recording my zoom h4n was on the soft, powdery sandy bank about 60 feet from the river…you hear the gentle, but powerful thrumming of the giant diesel engines as a huge, 200 foot barge passes by. Some notable natural sounds are a very clear red-wing blackbird at 20 seconds in, and again at one mine in and again at one-minute 13 seconds into it. You hear a wonderful, clear splash at 27 seconds into as well. Recording made around 4pm on a warm -- 80 degrees -- june day. Close your eyes, dig into the powdery, soft sand of the mississippi river bank and float away on a warm summer day.

On the other side of a line of trees was the launch pad for the towns fire work show. The mic is angled at the sky. Along with the big round booms and flat smacky booms you can also make out the swish as rockets swirl through the air. In between booms, whistles and fizzles you you can also hear the sound of the debris from the cardboard shells falling around me. Sometimes they were on fire, though you can't hear that quality in the audio. It's good for fireworks and is pretty easy to eq for more of a distant quality. I find it's more fun using it to sweeten weapons. The full recording is 29 minutes.

Since my ears can't hear any frequencies above 14khz (please remember to wear ear defenders around loud machinery! thank you. <3), i can't hear tape hiss very clearly, and are afraid i might overdo the volume. Here is a recording taken from a boardwalk running through a swamp in jackson county illinois. Recorded on friday september 23 2022 as the season of autumn begins to stir. By now the neo-tropical warblers and other migrants are gone. Leaving the woodpeckers and blue jays and crows. A reflective ambiance of a now dry swamp, slowing down awaiting the arrival of full-on autumn, then winter. You hear the wind sifting through the branches of the oaks, and hickories and maples, the chattering of woodpeckers, and, since this is the time of year of the harvest, you hear the often dropping of acorns, and hickory nuts, and pieces of hickory nuts and acorns, as the squirrels 30 feet above the swamp get sloppy with their lunch. I have no idea what this was. I don't know if it's my voice or an external sound i didn't hear while recording. It was found randomly on my most recent recording of playing containment breach, and it was very quiet, so i increased the volume to try and figure out what it was, but it's still a mystery to me. Sooooooooooooo. . . . Here ya go!.

I was in my room with my blue yeti microphone and i noticed that i can make a sort of whistle/shrill with my teeth. Edited with audacity. I think this could work with a few other small animals but a mouse comes to mind when i hear this. If you are gonna use this please comment or link me to what you are gonna use it for.

This is the sound of a small waterfall i have that falls onto some rock steps and into a coy pond. You can hear the water plashing on the rocks and bubbling up through the filters. Also light environmental sounds in the background - birds chirping, someone building something, kids. Recorded with a tascam dr-40, at-875r mic and love.
