Skype interference or feedback sound effect. Its the sound your computer makes if your speakers are too loud. What happens is that your computer plays the sound coming from the person on the other side and then it plays over there and then plays back on your computer, it builds up in waves. Just turn your sound down and it should go away.

Bordeaux, france03/27/2020 9:30am. In the morning i heard some birds and woke up to record them. But i took too much time to go out of my bed to record. . So when i started the recording, humans arrives in the street with some music and the birds keep singing at the same time. Finally, birds keep quiet and surely flee from humans who goes further. Then it's silence.

To make this series of sounds, i blended a bunch of samples together, some recorded on my go-to usb mic, some synthesized in ableton. I thought they fit together nicely vs being isolated pieces. I was on a walk and i decided to go under a busy bridge to record some foley. I'm about 4 feet from the top of the bridge and it was fairly large so there will be some reverberation. There was also a river nearby, around 10 meters away. This sound is in open domain, use it freely without need for retribution or credit.

While fooling around with the beat repeat plugin in ableton one day, i noticed it would do this cool rhythmic decrescendo whenever i would hit "repeat". But not when i would export! so i just kept messing around with a simple hi-hat loop with audacity running in the background. I've cut down and sampled this recording many times, think it's time i let it go to see what the internet can do with it ;).

Tabla is percussion instrument with two drums 'daya' and 'baya'. Only the 'daya' drum is usually tuned. For checking the tuning the 'na' bol is played. Recorded using samson-go portable condenser mike at home. Placing the mike too close to tabla was clipping the sound and if placed away, it was not picking the extended resonance. Hence the mike was moved closer after attack, hence the apparent increase in amplitude and some doppler effect is seen.

I just stood outside for a little while, recorded the outside ambience, amplified it so it's audible, eqed it, and added some reverb to give it that stereo effect. The sound of the boom gates going down at a level crossing. A train arrives, stops at the other station, and departs with a blast from the horn. An announcement goes off in the distance. Then the boom gates go back down and a train, this time on the recorder's platform, arrives. The doors open and the train is boarded. This was recorded in australia.

I walked through my neighborhood on july 4th, and many people were setting off fireworks outside their houses, so i recorded it. It was pretty chaotic. I walked through a park, which had a wet ground that you can hear me making my way through in some parts of this audio. Numerous fireworks go off, close and far, with crackles, sharper bangs, and more. You can also hear people yelling in the distance. Use this how you like, i do not need credit.

Oddly enough this man does not consider himself a baritone, and his speaking voice is not so deep. This was not modified except with noise reduction, because the air conditioning was audible. It just happens to be the deepest sound i've ever heard him make, and he wasn't awake. So it wasn't a moan, or a groan, or a gasp. Please tell me what you think it is. I called it an exhale, and yeah, i don't think grizzlies typically go this low.

My dog growls when you go anywhere near him while he is eating, i noticed he seems to leave a little bit of food so he could run to it and growl (perform) when i came downstairs later on. So, i placed a condenser mic on his bowl and recorded him in 96k 24bit. I will no doubt use this in a short film and it's here for use by others too. This wa maybe my first attempt at doing something that i would describe as steve reich-y (not knowing very much about steve reich) which is a method i got slightly obsessed with. Basically (for me) it was creating a short measure for a few instruments (apso uploaded here) but then layering them, slightly and increasingly out of time, so that they go out of phase and create a huge trippy musical canvas that you couldn't have predicted from the opening measure (well i couldn't, but i know nothing about music).

In this sound i can imagine a monster in a horror game that is stressed because it can't catch its prey or another thing i can imagine is that the beast has been injured and is roaming around in pain. This is a recording of an operation in a hospital in lisboa, portugal. We needed this recording for an audiowalk that also took place in an unused hospital. This was recorded in my kitchen next to a railway, late at night when there was maintenance going on on the line. A heavy unit called a tamper went past, tamping down the ballast (stones) that go under the tracks. Lots of sub-bass as the whole building gets vibrated and at -04:29 a balanced teapot lid puts itself onto the teapot. Zoom h4n, 24/48 wav exported to flac in audacity.

I needed a sound effect for an audio project, specifically the sound of someone moving around in a bathtub full of water and ice. Being too lazy to go out and get a carpload of ice cubes, i raided the ice-maker in the refrigerator and built up a stockpile, then dumped them all into the metal kitchen sink, added some water and a few empty ice cube trays for flavor, and stirred them about using a glass mixing bowl and a wooden spoon.
