Kolvitsa river is located in the south of the kola peninsula in murmansk oblast, russia. It is 9 km in length and it's basin size is 1310 km². The kolvitsa originates from the lake kolvitskoye and flows into the kolvitskaya bay, kandalaksha gulf, white sea near the village of kolvitsa. The river is suitable for whitewater canoeing. Recorded on zoom h6.

This is the second part of a recording an overflowing brook in summer, out in a farmer's field after a rainstorm. This one is pretty clear but there may be some artifacts created by my phone being jostled, or other sound sources in the area, but it's long so those could be easily cut out. Edit it however you like.

This was designed for a short film whereas the subject is checked-out, mentally, and builds up before the 'snap' of a mental break. The room had a grandfather clock and basic evening white noise with the sound of internal blood flow quickly amped.

I captured this excited pileated woodpecker on the edge of some deep woods, on a hot dusk in august 2010. It was about 7:30 on a calm night at the edge of the shawnee national forest. The tempurature was 85 degrees. What i find really enjoyable though is the rising, and ebbing and flowing of, i believe the typical summer cicadas. Recorded using my zoom h4n recorder using the internal buil-in microphones.

Recording of a fairly boisterous stream near my house. It has a lot of motion due to the fact that a branch was caught on the bank of the stream which was being pulled about in different directions resulting in different rates of flow and a varying sound. H2 zoom front mic with wind shield, hand held, some wind noise, worse towards end, missed the foreground fan switch off.

This is a first attempt to record sound underwater, i build a small hydrophone according to the instruction gave us by digifishmusic, i could probably make it better but all considered i'm pleased whit it. The hydrophone was placed in a small river near where i live, just below the water surface but unfortunately it kept bouncing against the rocks so it's a bit noisy. Enjoy!.

There is also a river-flowing kind of sound as this street floods in heavy rain, and the water runs from the street into a storm drain right beside my driveway. Various vehicles occasionally pass by.

This is the sound of a storm drain emptying into a gutter. My street floods in heavy rain, giving the storm drain a river-like sound. I placed my roland r-05 on the sidewalk just above the drain. It babbles and splashes like a river, but it is on a residential city street. I recorded it at 2am, so there are few vehicles in the recording though several faintly pass by in the background. A drain after a water flow: the water seems to build up a physical-mechanic surface tension kept mass in the tube, opens and closes this bubble-entity producing a specific rhythm in the plughole resp. The drainage pipe. It pulses with various plops and splashs, starts off with a firework kind of beat but then one hears a differentiated rhythm of 4-strokes sequences with slugs before these etc. Getting slower. Many minutes later it ends (beyond this track). The (hearable) cut is just the censorship of a small abortive piece -- left in to document the recording as recording.

A nice, clean, relaxing clip of running water, recorded at dusk in the seattle area. Recording the clip was not as relaxing as listening to it. I had to stoop down very uncomfortably for nine minutes until i got three minutes with no airplanes, and then i had to walk back to my aunt's house in the dark without a flashlight, though woods full of large spiders. . .
